Chapter 622

Amara pulled out the knife, but instead of threatening her again, she merely reminded her of something she''d said before. What was that supposed to mean?

Amara strode out of the hotel, only to be stopped by Liliana, who greeted her with a sugary smile. “Ms. Sullivan, what a surprise to see you here. I heard you''re pregnant -so, whose baby is it?"

Liliana''s gaze dropped to Amara''s stomach, her eyes filled with open mockery.

Amara shot her a cold look. "Get lost."

    Liliana was momentarily stunned.

Even though Amara wasn''t as meek as she used to be, she was never one for crudenguage. Why was she being so blunt now?

To Amara, Liliana and Emma were cut from the same cloth. She didn''t see any reason to waste pleasantries on people like them. It was best to be direct and tell them off, then get away as quickly as possible.

Once she was outside the Star Hotel, Amara called Mr. Frost. "Mr. Frost, I wanted to discuss something with you. Is it possible to rece Antonia Everly?"

With most directors, she would have started with some polite small talk before making a request. But Mr. Frost was famously averse to idle chatter and a bit entric; with him, it was better to get straight to the point.

Sure enough, Mr. Frost didn''t question her decision. He simply replied, "We can rece her. We have other backup options."

Amara let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Who''s the alternate?"

Antonia was Emma''s niece-one she doted on-mainly because Antonia looked and acted so much like Emma herself.

Antonia had only been in the industry for two years, and she''d managed tond the lead role in Letters from Yesterday through certain connections, though her acting was decent enough.

By recing Antonia, Amara was really sending Emma a warning.

This time, Emma had exposed Amara''s situation and stirred up public scorn against her online. Antara hadn''t figured out a way get back at her yet, but she felt t was necessary to send a clear message.

Still, if there wasn''t a suitable recement for Antonia, Amara wasn''t going to insist. Making a good film was still the top priority.

    "There''s someone else who''d be a

good fit-her name is Ynda. I''ll send you her profile in a bit. Both Antonia and Ynda were rmended by the investors. To be honest, ndas actually a better fit but for certain reasons, I went with Antonia."

Amara immediately understood what those "certain reasons" were. She asked, "If

we switch to Ynda, will that cause any problems for you?"

"Not at all. If you want to make the change, go ahead."

One thing Amara really appreciated about Barry Frost as a director was his deep respect for the

screenwriter''s opinions. If the writer bad concerns, he always took them seriously.

"Alright, let''s do that then," Amara said gratefully.

That evening, the official social media for Letters from Yesterday announced the main cast.

Since the story focused on a male lead, the first announcement was for the leading man-Keith.

Rumors had already been swirling about this, so fans weren''t surprised. Nevertheless, Keith''s poprity set Twitter aze with excitement.

Next came the reveal of the female lead: the up-anding actress Ynda, a young woman with striking, sharp features that made her stand out in a crowd.

Ynda was never exactly a household name, but her distinctive appearance and solid acting had earned her a loyal following.

When the news broke, Antonia was absolutely furious.

She never expected the lead would go to Ynda instead of her. Just recently, she''d received reliable word that Barry was going to choose her. What on earth had happened?
