Mr. Kevin Everly looked Keith up and down.
This young man was tall, good-looking, and despite Ama already having a child— still willing to marry her. His sincerity was obvious. Mr. Everly was so pleased with Keith that he couldn''t help but smile warmly when he saw him.
"Ama is upstairs in her room. Let me take you up to see her," Mr. Kevin Everly said happily.
Keith was, after all, a well-known figure. Earlier, while he was talking to Finnian downstairs, a few maids had seen him from upstairs and squealed with excitement, which was how Mr. Everly found out Keith had arrived.
He immediately thought of Finnian, who was still downstairs. Knowing how petty Finnian could be, Mr. Everly figured he wouldn''t let Keith in, so he came down to greet him personally.
Without even ncing at Finnian or that unlucky woman beside him, Mr. Everly took Keith by the arm and started toward the door.
"Grandpa.” Finnian stepped in front of them, his face dark. “Why are you out sote at night?"
He moved forward, blocking Keith''s way. Seeing this, Mr. Everly couldn''t help but let out a frustratedugh.
"Move aside. I might be old, but I''m not dead. Why shouldn''t I be out at night? I''m taking Ama''s fiancé upstairs to see her. Go do whatever you need to do."
Compared to Keith, Finnian seemed even less pleasing to him.
Keith was so much better: warm toward Ama andpletely genuine.
Finnian, on the other hand, was involved with that annoying actress just seeing her was irritating.
Mr. Everly led Keith upstairs. Finnian couldn''t stop them. He watched as they walked away, his expression growing darker.
Then he turned to Liliana and said, "You should go home. It''ste." With that, he went inside as well.
Amara was reading in her room when someone knocked. She got up to answer the door and was surprised to find Keith standing there with Mr. Kevin Everly.
Mr. Everly was holding Keith''s hand, looking genuinely fond of him. He said to Amara, Ama, your fiancé is here brought him up for you You can talk-I''ll leave you to it."
With a cheerful smile, he stepped out.
Why does Grandpa like Keith so much? Amara waspletely puzzled as she brought Keith into the room.
After she closed the door, Keith asked curiously, "What''s with the old man? He seems to really like me. Did you say something nice about me to him?"
Amara shook her head honestly. "No, I didn''t. I''m just as surprised as you are. He''s always disliked Liliana, so I assumed he didn''t like actors. Anyway, what brings you here?"
Keith sat on the sofa, poured himself
some water, and was silent for a
while before looking up at her with a serious expression Amara fet''s go ahead and get married. Let''s just treat what happened today as if it never happened..."
"No, not as if it never happened. Thosements online will still be there, but we can just ignore them. They won''t change anything between us."
Amara was taken aback—how could they even consider marriage after everything that happened? Getting Edith and Nathan''s approval would be nearly impossible.
She didn''t respond right away, but her face clearly showed what she was thinking.
Keith frowned, stepped forward, and gently took her hand. In a low voice, he said "Are you thinking about not getting married anymore? Because I''m telling you new, that''s not going to happen."
