Finnian was both confused and anxious. What had happened? Did he say something wrong?
As his mind raced, the door to the private room opened, and a waiter entered with their food. Their conversation ceased as they watched the waiter set down the dishes.
The food was served quickly. Seeing the vibrant colors and smelling the fragrant aromas, Amara''s mood lifted considerably. She decided not to hold a grudge against Finnian and quietly picked up her utensils to eat.
The first bite made her eyes light up. The restaurant was genuinely good. She would have to bring Elysia and Keith here sometime. It was delicious.
Finnian began to eat as well, keeping a close watch on Amara''s expression. Seeing that she seemed happy, he rxed and asked, "The food is okay, right?"
Amara nodded but didn''t want to talk to him, continuing to eat in silence.
Pregnancy had really changed her. The most noticeable difference was her appetite.
Before, Amara could only manage one bowl of rice per meal. Now, she could easily eat one and a half, sometimes even two.
She seemed to have the type of pregnancy where the baby grew but she didn''t gain weight elsewhere. Despite eating so much, only her belly grew slightlyrger, while her limbs and the rest of her body remained unchanged. As long as she wore a loose-fitting dress, she still looked slim.
After finishing one bowl of rice, Amara was still hungry. But if she had another, would it seem like she ate too much?
Whatever. Finnian already knew she was pregnant. And even if he didn''t, what did it matter? She had no intention of having any further involvement with him, so there was no need to worry about his opinion. She would just eat as she pleased. So, she served herself another bowl of rice and ate with a clear conscience.
Seeing Amara eat so happily, a smile gradually formed in Finnian''s eyes.
Soon, the second bowl was empty The food at this restaurant was just too good. While it might not have been the best she''d ever had it was certainly one of the top contenders.
She silently memorized the restaurant''s name. As she finished herst bite and set down her utensils.
A sudden wave of nausea washed over her. The food she had just eaten felt like it was surging back up, threatening toe out.
Her expression changed. What was happening?
She was more than four months along now, well past the morning sickness phase. Why was she suddenly feeling sick again?
Finnian noticed her pale face and immediately asked, “What''s wrong? Are you not feeling well?” He started to get up to move closer to her.
The nausea was bing unbearable. Amara stood up, intending to go to the restroom, or at least to the trash can in the corner of the room.
But she only took two steps before she couldn''t hold it back any longer. With a retch, she threw up everything she had just eaten.
Leaning against the table, Amara emptied her stomachpletely. Her stomach felt much better afterward, but the room was
instantly filled with the sour smell of vomit. Fingran was already by her
side, patting her back and anxiously
asking how she was feeling.
Throwing up like this in front of Finnian, Amara was so embarrassed she wanted the ground to swallow her whole.
But she had to at least clean up
before she could leave. She reached for the tissues on the table, but Finnian was already one step ahead. He pulled out a few tissues and began to gently wipe her month.
"What''s wrong?" he askin is
your stomach bothering you? How are you feeling now?"
Finnian''s voice was filled with concern.
