The photo he sent showed the event in progress, with the brand''s name clearly visible.
Being in the industry herself, Amara had connections. She made a quick call to find out the address of the brand''s event and then hailed a cab, heading straight there.
The brand was a top-tier domestic clothing line holding a press conference in a venue in the Wye district. They had invited many celebrities to attend, and Amara spotted both Keith''s and Liliana''s names on the guest list.
Of course, she couldn''t care less about Liliana; her only concern was Keith. As soon as she got out of the car, she began asking for his whereabouts.
The news of Amara and Keith''s engagement had caused a huge stir online, so everyone knew about their rtionship. When a kind soul heard her asking for Keith, they pointed her in the right direction with a yful tease.
Amara feigned a bashful smile, thanked the person, and hurried off to find Keith. “Amara, what are you doing here?"
Keith had just finished his part in the press conference and was getting ready to leave. He was surprised to see Amara in the backstage dressing room as he was removing his makeup.
He was thrilled that she hade looking for him, but he was taken aback when he saw the furious expression on the usually gentle and calm Amara''s face. Confused, he asked, "What''s wrong? Who upset you?"
"You did," Amara said sharply. "I want you to tell me exactly why your parents agreed to our marriage. Exin everything to me. Now."
Keith''s bright smile slowly vanished.
His handsome face turned cold and severe. The tall man, well over six feet, stood before Amara, looking down at her in silence.
Seeing his expression, Amara''s heart softened a little.
No matter what, Keith was doing all of this for her. And he was the one who would suffer the most from leaving the entertainment industry.
She was just angry that he had made such a huge sacrifice without telling her. Deep down, she was incredibly moved.
“How did you find out?” Keith asked. “Did my mother go see you?”
Keith was furious now, not at Amara, but at Edith.
He knew his mother must have been the one to tell her, and he suspected she probably also demanded that Amara quit her career as well.
Although Amara had to find out eventually, Keith had wanted to be the one to tell her himself, not for her to hear it from someone else.
"Your mother came to see me," Amara said. "But that''s not the point. The point is, how could you agree to their terms?"
"You love acting more than anything. It''s the most important thing to you. How could you agree to that?"
Amara had started to calm down, but talking about it again stoked the mes of her anger.

He masked his inner turmoil with a smile, yfully pinching her cheek. "Don''t be
