The next day at noon, Keith took Amara out for lunch. As they sat in the restaurant and Amara perused the menu, he asked, "What were you and Finnian doing at a bar sotest night?"


    Amara looked at him in surprise. How did he know she had been out with Finnian?


    Perhaps sensing her confusion, Keith exined, "Some of my friends were at the same barst night. They saw you and Finnian go in together and enter a private room, so they took a picture and sent it to me."


    Keith''s tone was casual, but it hid a hint of displeasure.


    He and Amara were only in a sham marriage, so he wasn''t her real boyfriend and had no right to question her, but seeing the photo had filled him with jealousy.


    So that was it...


    Amara thought for a moment before saying, "It''s a bitplicated. We were there to catch some cheaters."


    "What?"


    Amara leaned forward and lowered her voice. "I''m telling you, you won''t believe what''s happened thesest few days. Fiona is cheating, and her affair is with Finnian''s father..."


    She gave him the rundown on Fiona and Andrew, leaving Keith utterly astonished.


    He never would have guessed that Fiona would cheat, let alone that she and Andrew had a history.


    Then he remembered something and said, a little annoyed, "Since we both saw them in the car that night, why didn''t you tell me then? I asked if you knew them, and you said you didn''t."


    "It was dark, and I wasn''tpletely sure," Amara said, rolling her eyes.


    "After I got home, I confirmed with one of the housekeepers that Fiona wasn''t there, which made me a hundred percent certain it was her with Andrew. You have to be sure about these things before you say anything."


    That exnation mollified Keith somewhat.


    It had bothered him that Amara had confided in Finnian first about something so


    private and important, and that she''d handled it with him.


    Now that she had told him too, he felt a little more bnced.


    His eyes darted thoughtfully. Finnian was clearly going to great lengths for Amara.


    He''d bet his life that Finnian had feelings for her.


    But it seemed Amara hadn''t realized it yet, which made sense.


    His perspective as a man was different from hers. He could see how devoted Finnian was to her.


    But Amara probably saw Finnian primarily through the lens of his rtionship with Liliana.


    Therefore, he had to win Amara over before she realized the depth of Finnian''s feelings for her.


    Otherwise, given her own lingering feelings for Finnian, she might actually get back together with him if she ever learned the truth about his heart.


    With that thought in mind, Keith finished lunch with Amara and went straight to the WestWinter Group. He called Edith out of the CEO''S


    office, and the three of them met in


    the chairman''s office.


    Keith stood before Edith and Nathan, who were seated on the sofa, looking at him


    quizzically. They had no idea why he had summoned them both.


    "Mom, Dad."


    Keith cleared his throat. "I have something important to tell you. I''m going to marry Amara. Your approval doesn''t matter. She''s the only one I''ll ever marry. If you refuse to give me my identification


    documents, then you can watch me stay a bachelor for the rest of my life."
