Chapter 507

    ?

She wasn''t curious about how Hogan found her, only why he was here.

"Amara, you know Finnian is marrying Liliana, right?" Hogan said as soon as he saw

her. "The person my brother loves is you. Why aren''t you going to fight for him?"

In Hogan''s mind, Finnian was the greatest, most brilliant man in the world.

He had worshipped his older brother since childhood and believed that only the best woman on earth was worthy of him. That was why he''d been so resentful years ago when Finnian married Amara out of desperation, and why he had constantly given her trouble.

Now, after the fake pregnancy fiasco, he detested Liliana. The idea of Finnian marrying a woman like that was unbearable, so he hade to find Amara.

Seeing her stare at him without a word, Hogan grew anxious. "Amara, don''t doubt me. My brother really likes you. If you just go and make an effort, have a real talk with him, I know he''lle back to you."

Finnian was only marrying Liliana out of an obligation for her having saved his life. But if Amara, the woman he loved, pleaded with him, Hogan was sure that debt of gratitude would be thrown to the wind.

His intentions were good in his own mind, but at that moment, Amara was filled with an incandescent rage.

In her rtionship with Finnian, she had never been the one chasing him. In fact, he was the one who repeatedly disrupted her life.

So why did these people always expect her to be the one to "fight for" him? Was she that worthless? Even if he did like her, why was it always on her to take the initiative?

And Hogan was the most infuriating of them all.

He acted as if his brother was the greatest prize on earth, and any woman should be begging for the chance to marry him. What gave him the right to think that way?

Amara was so furious because this wasn''t the first time Hogan had said something so baffling and infuriating to her.

This time, she had reached her limit. Her patience was gone. Her eyes zing with anger, she stared at Hogan and swung her hand, pping him across the face.

A sharp crack echoed in the sudden silence.

Hogan touched his stinging cheek, looking at Amara in disbelief. "You hit me? Why did you hit me?"

Hogan couldn''t for the life of him understand why Amara had pped him.

She had hit him once before, but that time he had admittedly provoked her by defending Liliana.

But today, he hadn''t said anything

that offensive, had he? Was she so angry that she would resort to- waspletely

violence? Flogan waspletely baffled, and his confusion was

    quickly turning to anger.

Amara closed her eyes for a moment.

She knew that from Hogan''s perspective, the p must seem to havee out of nowhere. But so what?

    Hogan had provoked her countless

times, said so many hurtful things to

her that she had let slide..

    Considering all that plus today

offense, a single p was more than justified.

“Get out,” Amara ordered, pointing toward the gate. "I don''t want to see you."

Hogan''s anger red. Instead of leaving, he took a step forward. "Amara, what the hell is wrong with you? You hit me for no reason and now you''re trying to kick me ou What did I do to you?"

"You did plenty," Amara retorted sharply.

"I have never once bothered Finnian or forced him to be with me. So why should I

be the one to fight for him? Who do you think you are, talking to me like that?"

    Hogan frowned.
