Chapter 374

Emma''s eyes bulged with fury, her whole body trembling as she jabbed a finger at Amara, sputtering "You-you-" but unable to get out a full sentence.

The Everly family was the elite of Wye''s upper ss. Even if Emma had suffered setbacks with her husband in recent years, her status remained untouchable— never before had she been treated like this.

She stormed forward, her voice sharp as a whip. "Amara, did you just curse me to die? You little brat, you-!"

"Mrs. Emma Everly, if you keep spouting nonsense, don''t me me for what happens next!" Amara cut her off coldly, refusing to let Emma hurl more insults.

She had no intention of indulging Emma''s tantrums anymore, and Emma could see right through her. People on the outside liked to say Amara was meek, someone easy to push around-but that was a lie. She was no doormat; she was a tigress.

Emma dropped any pretense, her re steely. "I''m here to warn you. Stop showing up at the Everly estate. You''re no longer part of the family, so what business do you have barging in all the time?"

Lately, Emma had been dropping by the old house now and then, always asking the staff if Amara had visited. The fact that Amara was there even more often than she was made Emma see red.

So, today''s excuse of visiting Liliana was just a front-what she really wanted was a showdown with Amara.

Amara stood her ground, unafraid. "Mrs. Everly, did you forget what was said that day? Grandfather is the head of the family, and if he asks me toe by, I will— what right do you have to interfere?"

Emma had expected this insolence. She clenched her teeth, eyes icy cold. "You think you can just defy me? Don''t believe for a second I won''t go out there and tell everyone you''re obsessed with the Everlys! I could ruin your reputation, make sure you''re finished in Wye!"

But Amara was no child-she wasn''t about to be intimidated by empty threats She scoffed, "So ahead But if you do, just let Finnian know you banged into my dressing room, hysterical again. What do you think helf say?"

Emma froze, stunned that Amara had the gall to bring up her son—she was pushing her limits now.

Her eyes narrowed. "You wouldn''t dare."

    "Try me and see."

Honestly, Amara almost felt grateful to Emma-and to Hogan, and all the others who''d tormented her in the past. Thanks to them, she''d learned to stand her ground and fire back without hesitation.

Emma hadn''t expected her to be so tough-rage burned in her eyes, and she looked ready to pounce, like a lioness on the edge.

    Suddenly, she spun around and

strode out of the lounge, stopping at the doorway. She called out to the busy film crew, her voice ringing out across the set Do you all know what kind of person your head writer Amara really is? She''s absolutely shameless!"

People all around the set stopped what they were doing, startled and staring at Emma in disbelief.

Emma red at the crowd, shouting,

"Let me tell you something! This

What is she after, if not our family''s fortune? She just can''t let go of my son!"

    BUMS

"And even though my son has moved on and found someone new, Amara still

clings to him. She has no shame whatsoever-!”

She went on and on, her voice echoing through the set. The crew stared in shock<fn7cd4> This update is avable on find?novel</fn7cd4>
