Chapter 350

The appearance of this man was so sudden that Amara had no time to react before he scooped her up into his arms. Feeling utterly embarrassed, she

instinctively pressed her hands against his chest. "Yeah, I''ve been feeling a bit off. Is there something you needed, Mr. Everly?"

"I''m taking you to the hospital."

Without giving her a chance to protest, Finnian carried Amara off the bed, slipped her shoes onto her feet, wrapped her in a coat, and strode out the door, ignoring her objections.

The film set was bustling with people, and when they saw Mr. Everly carrying Amara out, they stopped in their tracks, staring in surprise.

Amara wanted nothing more than to disappear into a hole. Clutching Finnian''s shirt tightly, she growled under her breath, "Put me down right now. I can walk myself, and I don''t need a hospital."

"Listen to me." Finnian''s voice was firm as he continued to carry her out.

Thankfully, his concern seemed to make him move swiftly, and in no time at all, he had her settled in his car and was driving her to the hospital.

"Doctor, how is she?" Finnian asked anxiously once they reached thergest general hospital in Wye and the doctor hadpleted an initial examination.

The doctor replied, "To really know what''s going on with her stomach, we''d need to do an endoscopy."

"I had one done a few months ago, and the doctor said there was some gastritis but it wasn''t serious, just needed careful eating habits," Amara quickly interjected, not keen on the idea of another endoscopy.<fn510d> Fresh chapters posted on Find?Novel</fn510d>

The doctor nodded. "Do you have the results from back then?"

"Yes, I took a picture of it on my phone." Amara retrieved the photo and handed her phone over.

After reviewing it, the doctor said, "It seems like you have a re-up of gastritis. You''ll need to follow a nd diet and take some medication to help. I''ll prescribe you something."

"Thank you," Amara replied, feeling a bit trapped. Being pregnant, she couldn''t take medication, but refusing it would raise suspicions.

    Soon, Finnian returned with the

medicine. He handed it to her,

saying, "I''ye written down when and how many to take on the box. Make sure you take them on time. You should eat soft easily digestible.. foods for now and avoid anything spicy, cold, or irritating."  s

He went on with his instructions, his usual cold demeanor reced with unusual

warmth and concern. Amara stared at her feet, silent and thoughtful.

Once he finished, she looked up seriously. "Mr. Everly, you don''t have to do this. Our marriage was just a transaction and though legally were once married, we''re not anymore. This isn''t fair to anyone."  s

Her words were careful, but Finnian understood the implication immediately.

A pang of difort hit him, prompting a defensive response. "Liliana and I aren''t like that."

    He had never

    ver exined his

rtionship with Liliana to Amara before. It seemed pointless given the facts he and Liliana had been intimate and had a child together. No amount of exnation could change that reality.  s

People only cared about the child, not whether he had feelings for Liliana or not.

Yet, hearing Amara''s words now, he feltpelled to rify.

Amara''s heart ached, as if submerged in something sour. She couldn''t help but let out a mental scoff, feeling a bitter irony.
