    A blinding, icy-blue spotlight dropped from the ceiling above.


    Cassius snapped his head up, the blood instantly draining from his face.

    Suspended high in the air was Chasel, covered in severe bruises and cuts. His wrists were bound by heavy iron shackles, the skin rubbed raw and bleeding. His head slumped forward; he waspletely unconscious.

    Cassius''s eyes burned bright red as he roared into the empty space, teetering on the very edge of a total breakdown. "What did you do to him?! If Chasel dies... I will rip your heart out! I will tear you to pieces!"


    "Hahahahaha... Yes! That''s the cold, ruthless, unhinged Hex I remember. Buddhism never suited you anyway. Oh, my apologies, I forgot. You believe in God now."


    Two more floodlights snapped on overhead.


    Standing behind a catwalk railing dozens of feet above,n stared down at Cassius, trembling with hystericalughter like aplete lunatic.


    "Don''t worry, your little sweetheart isn''t dead. I just beat the absolute hell out of him. Left him with just enough breath to survive."

    Suddenly, the deafening, screeching grind of metal chains erupted from above.


    Chasel''s battered body suddenly plummeted from the ceiling!


    "Chasel! No!"


    Cassius broke into a cold sweat, whipping around and sprinting frantically back, throwing his arms out in a desperate bid to catch him.


    Halfway to the floor, the chain jerked to a violent halt.


    Cassius stood there, chest heaving violently, gasping for air. Sweat mixed with burning tears cascaded down his pale face, dripping off his clenched jaw.


    "What the hell is it going to take for you to let him go... What do you want!" His heart felt as if it had been trampled in a war zone, his soul repeatedly fracturing on the edge of sheer madness.


    "Look at our grand Hex, absolutely losing his mind trying to save the love of his life.
