    Jason politely saw thewyer out, and Evadne immediately picked up the documents to share with Thaddeus:

    "So, his secret cooperation with Avery, it''s for that elusive new drug," Thaddeus said. His gentle side only showed with his loved ones; he was always rational and cold to others. "Even if he wants to save his wife, that can''t justify his involvement in Avery''s dirty dealings."


    "Human nature is never just ck or white," Evadne sighed resignedly, her gaze dimming slightly. "I wonder, if I were in his shoes, would I also take such risks? I think I might do the same."


    "Evadne, you wouldn''t," Thaddeus took her hand, their fingers intertwining tightly. "You''re not selfish, and you don''t have the heart to be cruel. You are the kindest person I know."
