Chapter 91

I looked up and noticed Selena, her expression clouded with concern. I couldn''t quite grasp what was troubling her. "Why do you seem unhappy? Is something bothering you?"

Selena sighed and exined, "I dislike drinking, but it''s unavoidable when socializing."

With a deep breath, she shook her head and smiled at me, her eptance of the situation evident. "Forget it. There''s no use in discussing this."

I followed Selena to a restaurant for the social event. When I entered the private room, it was crowded. Everyone was gathered together, and there were several bottles of alcohol on the table.

Selena took a deep breath and led me to a seat. Then, she started greeting everyone with a bright smile, exchanging pleasantries one after another.

Though I can''t recall their exact words, I vividly remembered the moment they began drinking. What followed was an enthusiastic series of toasts that quickly turned into a lively drinkingpetition.

Seeing Selena drink one ss after another made me worried. As a woman, socializing posed risks, and I feared she could be taken advantage of if she got drunk. Noticing her flushed face, I quickly took the ss from her hand.

"I''m Selena''s husband. She can''t handle alcohol well, but I''d be happy to enjoy this drink with you on her behalf."

In thepany, my rtionship with Selena was a well-kept secret, yet everyone here was aware that she was married. Even though they didn''t know me well, I was confident no one would impersonate me and stop Selena from drinking.

Back then, I often socialized with clients over drinks to boost my sales, significantly increasing my alcohol tolerance in the process. After several bottles, I managed to get them drunk.

One of the CEOs, holding a bottle of wine, nced at me with a pleased smile and remarked, "You''re quite the drinker. Because of that, I''m d to sign this contract with you."

I was d to hear this. I drank a lot of wine this evening, and it was worth it.

An intense heat suddenly enveloped my body, and a warm current surged through me. Yet, I was unable to release it. This sensation felt hauntingly familiar, but just as quickly, it slipped from my memory.

"Hud, you''re drunk. Let me take you home. Have you been wanting to do this for a while? I really miss you, Hud."

My mind was in chaos, and my body was even more restless. I felt a small hand gliding over me, slipping into my cor like a searing me, intensifying the heat coursing through me. It was unbearably hot and ufortable. Suddenly, I felt a cool sensation against my skin.

"Hud, I''ll take care of you." Selena''s voice echoed in my ears. Then, I pinned her down firmly.

As I gazed at the woman standing before me, her features gradually came into sharp focus. I realized it was my girlfriend Sylvia, whom I had missed so much. I wondered why she was here. Was it a dream?

Without hesitation, I pulled her into my arms and hugged her tightly. "Sylvia, I really missed you."
