"Please... please stay with me. I can''t sleep alone."
Selena cried harder as she spoke, eventually bing too overwhelmed to talk. She buried her head in my arms, trying to hide her tears.
Selena was trembling, and it made me uneasy. I wanted to be with her, but I couldn''t get past the fact that she had cheated on me. I feared she might do it again.
At that moment, I suddenly thought of Sylvia, my girlfriend who was still waiting for me. I wanted to resolve the situation quickly and be with her.
As long as Selena made a full recovery, it was only a matter of time before she fell in love with someone else when she returned to her normal life. Right now, she depended on me, but I knew she couldn''t truly love me forever.
Once she was healed, I''d be free to be with Sylvia. This realization eased my resistance to Selena, allowing me to ept our current situation.
"Alright, I''ll stay with you tonight. Selena, please don''t cry. Let''s head to bed, alright? It''s quitete." I gently reassured Selena, much like one would with a child.
After feelingforted, she finally surrendered to sleep, leaving me feeling a bit weary as well. Selena''s soft, steady breathing filled the silence. I sighed in the darkness, feeling confused and questioning how long I would have to live like this.
The following day, I woke up alongside Selena. Given the events of the previous day, I reluctantly agreed to return to the master bedroom with her every night. Despite my reservations, I felt it was necessary to agree, so all my efforts would not go to waste.
Following yesterday''s endeavors, I sessfully located Party Bpany for the project. I drove to their office alongside Selena with the contract.
Thepany was quite modest, situated above a quaint café. A small sign bearing their name marked the stairs leading to the second floor, called Dream Maker.
When I arrived, I noticed only a few tables andputers. The facilities were quite basic, and it was clear their financial situation was worse than we expected.
A young woman in casual clothes greeted us when we arrived. I was usually direct, so I simply pulled out the contract and exined the reason for our visit. Although her eyes widened in surprise and skepticism, she nheless turned to seek assistance from someone else.
The other party consisted of recent graduates from prestigious universities, all of whom hadpleted their studies less than two years prior. Driven by passion and ambition, they established theirpany. Despite facing some setbacks, they persevered. They were shocked to hear that we wanted to coborate with them. The leader was a gentle-looking man with sses. Although young, he appeared aged and tired, likely due to being overworked. He disyed a maturity umon for his age.
"Did I hear you correctly? Are you saying yourpany wants to coborate with us?" the young man beside the leader inquired.
I nodded in silence.
