Chapter 73

Recalling Sylvia''s attitude and her opinion of Adenville, it seemed impossible to convince her to return to Carzonia.

When I rejected another one of his ideas, Zion couldn''t hold back any longer and snapped. "Hudson, are you crazy?"

"You rejected every n I suggested. I kepting up with something, and you kept saying it won''t work. If you''re so capable,e up with a good n yourself instead of torturing me."

Seeing Zion''s exasperation, I frowned and decided to share my idea instead.

"Alright, I have an idea. Sylvia has always mentioned she wants to travel, but she''s never had the chance because of work and money. This time, we can fulfill her wish."

During my time in Adenville, I hadn''t been in touch with Sylvia. Although she hadn''t said anything, I was sure she felt hurt. This trip could serve as a way to make it up to her.

Unfortunately, I wouldn''t be able to join her on this trip.

"How long do you n for her to be on this trip?" Zion asked.

I thought for a moment and replied, "About half a month. Dy her meeting with Selena as long as possible. Even if I can''t fully handle all the issues in thepany within that time, I believe, after half a month, Selena will be familiar enough with thepany''s operations to manage on her own without my help."

"I need your help with this," I added, looking at Zion.

With Zion''s help, I soon found where Sylvia was staying.

It was clear she had nned this. After arriving in Adenville, she quickly found a ce and moved in.

I pressed the doorbell several times before Sylvia finally opened the door.

When she saw me, it was clear she was still holding onto the resentment from a few days ago. She didn''t seem pleased. She paid more attention to Zion instead, looking wary of him.

"Who are you? Why haven''t I seen you before?"

"Hello, I''m Hudson''s colleague, Aaron." Zion made up a name on the spot.

She frowned, puzzled as to why I would bring a colleague with me, but she still let us in.

The room was small. There were some basic necessities, a table, and chairs. There was a single room with a living area and bathroom. There was no air conditioning, just a new fan against the wall with its packaging still not removed and ayer of protective film clinging to it.

"What brings you here?" Sylvia asked, tilting her head.

Though her tone was neutral, I could tell she was still angry with me.

I sighed, apologized, and exined why I hadn''t been in touch.

"Sylvia, I''ve been really busy since I came to Adenville. There''s been so much to handle, and I didn''t even get much sleep. That''s why I haven''t contacted you. I''m sorry. I promise, once things settle down, I''ll make it up to you. Please don''t be mad."

Sylvia sighed and said, "I''m not angry. You have your responsibilities, and I have mine. I understand."

Hearing her say that, I felt relieved. If she said she understood, it meant she wasn''t angry anymore.

After clearing things up, I felt a weight being lifted off my chest. I moved closer to her, and she didn''t resist, though her eyes subtly reminded me that we weren''t alone.

She nced at Zion, who was rolling his eyes, seemingly disgusted by my disy of affection.

She frowned, turned to me and asked, "So why are you both here today? Even if you came to see me, why do you have to bring your colleague?"
