I opened my door. After making sure that Sylvia''s door was closed, I hurried downstairs and went back to the hospital.


    Before I left, I stood in front of the door of Sylvia''s room, feeling conflicted.


    What exactly should I do so that me and Sylvia could go back to where we were before?


    When I got back to the hospital, I spotted Selena still working on herptop. When she noticed me, she closed it, walked over, and wrapped her arms around my waist like we hadn''t seen each other in ages.

    "Nothing. I just had some issues to handle at work. I got so caught up I forgot to mention it to you." I quickly came up with an excuse.


    When she heard I had been working, she looked up and pursed her lips, looking slightly upset.


    "Hudson, quit your job ande back to Blue Charm. I can offer you a higher position and higher pay. I promise your role will be better than the one you have now. You wouldn''t even have to show up every day if you don''t want to."


    I never thought Selena would suggest something like this. She had never mentioned anything rted to work before. We had always stayed in our respectivepanies, managing our own work without interfering with each other''s work.


    I didn''t know how Zion had managed to keep my current job in order, but since I hadn''t received a termination notice, I figured he had done a decent job. Thus, I wasn''t too worried about it.


    As for Selena''s offer, I decided to turn it down.

    Legally, I was still Selena''s husband. If I joined herpany and people found out about us, they would assume I got in because of Selena.

    Upon hearing what I said, Selena became upset. She let go of me and crossed her arms as she looked up at me.


    "Why not? I''m the one who built Blue Charm from the ground up, and I hold the most shares in thepany. I have the final say here. I''ll hire whoever I want. If anyone has an issue with that, they can quit. I''m not forcing anyone to stay."


    Blue Charm might be a subsidiary, but it was well-known and full of talented people. Sure, with her authority, she could fire anyone she wanted. But if she threw away someone''s career just because she wanted me by her side, her employees would definitely be dissatisfied with her.
