    Vincent guessed it right.

He hesitated for a moment, then tried to reason with Austin. "Mr. Fraser, maybe going after Bradley isn''t the best move. He''s got the Saunders family backing him-"

"Shut up!" Austin cut him off sharply. "I don''t care who''s backing him. Just do what I say."

Austin couldn''t care less about offending Bradley or the entire Saunders family. In this world, Cameron was all that mattered to him.

If he lost Cameron, what was the point of all this wealth and power?

He even wished he was still that nobody in the Fraser family because at least back then, Cameron would quietly stay by his side.

But there was no going back. Now he had the status, resources, and more than enough power. If anyone was in a position to protect Cameron, it was him, and he wouldn''t allow anyone to take her away.

"Got it, Mr. Fraser." Vincent nodded respectfully.

Still, as he turned to leave, he couldn''t help but sigh to himself, ''Is it my

imagination, or had Mr. Fraser really changed? He''s bing more and more of a stranger to me.''

Two dayster, Bradley was sitting in his office at Viremont Global Law Firm when someone tapped him on the shoulder. "Brad."

    Bradley looked up. "Jackson."

Jackson looked worried. "Brad, someone wants to acquire our firm."

Bradley paused, clearly surprised. He pushed up his gold-rimmed sses and asked, "Who is it?"

Jackson said, "I did some digging. Turns out, the person behind this is your old roommate, Austin, the current CEO of Fraser Group."

    Bradley was genuinely surprised. "Austin?"

Jackson nodded. "Yeah, it''s him. He suddenly inherited a huge fortune overseas, and aftering back, he took over Fraser Group."

The leadership shake-up at Fraser Group had made headlines not long ago, and most people knew about it.

"They''re trying to keep things quiet by using anotherw firm as a front. On the surface, it looks like a routine merger, but I poked around a little more." Jackson gave Bradley a long, meaningful look. "You know what this is really about?"

"It''s about me," Bradley said tly. He said it as a statement, not a question, because he already knew the answer.

A few days ago, he and Austin had a heated argument over Cameron. The look in Austin''s eyes back then hadn''t been friendly.

However, Bradley never expected Austin to take things so far and even came after his job.

"You two were roommates for three years. What happened?" Jackson asked, clearly baffled. "Did you really piss him off that bad?"

    "Three years..." Bradley muttered.

Yeah, technically, it was three years. But honestly, except for thest three months, Austin stayed out because he was sick most of the time. So no, they''d never really been that close.

Bradley nced at Jackson. "So what exactly does he want?"

    10:48 Fri, 13 Jun GOD

Jackson said, "To kick you out."

Bradley chuckled, thinking, ''He wants to kick me out, huh?''

On paper, Bradley didn''t technically work at the firm.

In order to be a partner, he had to be a certifiedwyer, which he wasn''t at the

time because he was still in high school. Just like Cameron, he managed the firm behind the scenes.

Jackson said, "You''reughing? Why don''t you go have a word with your old roommate?"

Bradley replied, "Jackson, you''re forgetting that this firm has nothing to do with me. How''s he supposed to kick me out?"

"Oh, right!" Jackson smacked his forehead. "Look at how forgetful I am. That totally slipped my mind."

Bradley asked, "What''s Samuel been up totely?"

Jackson asked, "Samuel? You mean Austin''s brother?"

Bradley nodded slowly. "Yeah. If Austin has enough time on his hands to pull crap

like this... maybe it''s time I give him something else to keep him busy."
