Chapter 3158

    ?Chapter 3158:

Intimacy between a husband and wife?

The doctor grasped Ernest’s meaning at once, though a sh of astonishment flickered across his face.

Could it be that Ernest and his wife had never been intimate all this time? He almost couldn’t believe it.

“Not at all,” the doctor answered quickly, shaking his head several times. “In fact, Mr. Flynn, a healthy intimate life benefits both the body and the mind.”

“I understand,” Ernest exhaled softly, relief loosening the tension in his shoulders. “Thank you.”

“You’re wee,” the doctor replied, wiping an unexpected bead of sweat from his brow.

Being thanked for something like this truly felt… strange.

As a doctor, he’d heard countless personal questions, but even he couldn’t help thinking, “Mr. Flynn seems really… impatient.”

Ernest rose to his feet and headed to the changing room to see Elissa.

Ever since he had found her, time had passed, yet the most they had shared were embraces and gentle kisses.

He was many things, but he wasn’t a saint.

When she wasn’t by his side, he rarely thought of such matters—but now that she slept beside him every night… If he still felt nothing, that would be the real issue.

Still, he hadn’t dared take any step forward, worried that her body might not be ready.

Now that the doctor had assured him everything was fine, a weight had finally lifted from his mind. He stepped into the room to bring Elissa out.

Elissa checked the time, worried she might make himte. “Let Sebastian drive me home—you should get to the office.”

“No need,” Ernest said, gently holding her hand. “You’reing with me.”

“Hm?” Elissa blinked, puzzled. “Won’t I get in the way?”

Although he often brought her around noon, it seemed much earlier today.

“Of course not.” To him, she was so endearing it made his heart ache. “You can rx in my office or nap in the lounge—I just like having you close.”

“Alright then,” Elissa agreed with a soft smile.

She loved being with him too—words or no words, his presence felt like warmth.

Ernest felt the same. Being together was simply… wonderful.

They soon arrived at the Flynn Group headquarters.

Elissa chose to settle in his private lounge, and Ernest tucked her in with great care. “I’ll be in the meeting room next door. Call me if you need anything.”

    His phone remained on vibrate.

He never answered calls during work—except for those from his wife or family.

“Alright,” Elissa said gently, giving him an encouraging smile. “Go on now—get back to work.”

“Wait.” Ernest leaned closer, voice softening. “Give me a kiss first.”

Elissa, long used to his ways, leaned in and brushed a gentle kiss across his cheek.

Ernest’s expression warmed with satisfaction. “I’m heading out,” he said.

That morning, a final-round interview for a new technical engineer awaited him.

As CEO, his interview served as the decisive one—thest step before confirming a candidate.

When he entered the meeting room, every interviewer stood at once. “Mr. Flynn,” they greeted.

“Mm,” Ernest acknowledged with a calm nod, motioning for them to sit.

He took the seat at the head of the table and opened the file before him. “Alright—let’s proceed.”

“Yes, sir.” With that, the secretary began calling in the candidates ording to their assigned numbers. “Please, take a seat.”

    “Thank you.”

Ernest leafed through the documents, nced at the photo, and then lifted his gaze to the woman seated across from him. “Bethany Dixon, right?”

    “Yes, Mr. Flynn.”

    “Graduated from Imperial College?”

“Yes, sir.” Bethany replied brightly, eager to make a good impression. “Mr. Flynn, we’re alumni.”

Ernest remained collected, giving a mild nod. “Yes.”

He, too, had graduated from Imperial College, only a few years before her.

After the brief exchange, he moved on to a series of professional questions.

She presented herself well—confident and capable.

Anyone who reached this stage was exceptional by default.
