Chapter 3121

    ?Chapter 3121:

After receiving N’s call, Hadley and Eric left the Crimson House and made their way to the main building of the Flynn Mansion.

The three of them settled into their seats, their discussion quickly turning to Elissa.

N began by giving Eric instructions. “Eric, have Cristian stop by tomorrow. I need to talk to him myself.”

“Okay.” There was no need for him to ask what it was about—anyone could guess it concerned Elissa.

“I’ve already talked it over with Kira…” Hadley said, immediately outlining the renovations and adjustments the house required for Elissa and Ethan’s sake before N even asked.

N gave a nod, visibly relieved. But after thinking for a bit, she added, “We’ll also need to prepare something else.”

Eric blinked, clearly confused. “Grandma… what do you mean?”

N let out a heavy breath. “I need to make a trip to Ontmond.”

Hadley’s brows drew together. “Was this Ernest’s suggestion?”

“No,” she said immediately. Whatever Ernest discussed with her over the phone hadn’t included this. “His parents are gone, and as his grandmother, I can’t just stay home and do nothing.”

Even so, given N’s condition, Ernest would worry just the same.

Hadley exchanged a look with Eric before offering, “Grandma, let me go with you.”

“Don’t bother.” N smiled, shaking her head. “Ernest is away, Eric has twopanies on his shoulders, and the household depends on you. Locke and Joy still need looking after—you can’t leave.”

She patted Hadley’s hand. “I’ll go on my own. I just need your help arranging things.”

It was indeed troublesome. Traveling with her condition meant medical staff, equipment, and constant monitoring. Even then, no one could feel fully assured.

But as the family elder, she couldn’t stay home on such an important matter, and Elissa’s family wouldn’t feel at ease otherwise.

N exhaled softly. “Since Ernest caused this, it’s only right that I go—whether to apologize or to discuss marriage.” With Ernest’s parents gone, the responsibility fell to her.

“We understand,” Eric and Hadley agreed.

“We’ll get things ready.” After a brief hesitation, Hadley voiced her concern. “Do you think we should inform Ernest?”

“Absolutely not.” N was firm, dismissing the idea with a shake of her head. “He needs to focus entirely on Elissa right now. Let’s not pull his attention away.”
