Chapter 3110

    ?Chapter 3110:

For the child to survive, it must have endured the same agony and torment that its mother did.

“Elissa…” Ernest’s eyes found hers again. The storm raging within began to calm, settling into a quiet, controlled intensity. His voice dropped, barely more than a whisper. “You should’ve told me… sooner.”AdChoicesADVERTISING

“Told you… sooner?” Elissa’s confusion was a fragile tremor. Why?

“Hurry!” Savannah’sposure fractured, panic creeping into her tone.

Secrets never remain buried forever. Yet Savannah struggled to seize control once more.

She barked an order, sharp and decisive. “Remove him immediately! Take him to the police!”

    “Yes, ma’am!”

At the same moment, Savannah yanked Elissa back. “That’s enough! Come inside with me!”

    Elissa struggled, heart pounding.

Behind her, Ernest’s guttural growl cut through the chaos.

Elissa’s heart hammered fiercely in her chest.

She spun around—Ernest was pushing himself upright, determination zing in his eyes as he took a stride toward her.

“Hold it right there!” a guard barked.

As Ernest stepped forward, his body suddenly convulsed, locking rigid. His eyes bulged in shock—an electric jolt surged through him.

The guards struck him simultaneously with their stun guns.

“Ugh!” Ernest gritted his teeth as pain twisted his face. His whole body shook violently, trembling like a delicate leaf caught in a fierce wind.

The relentless current surged through him, wracking his frame. His gaze locked on Elissa’s as his lips moved, mumbling inaudible words.

“No!” Elissa gasped, hands flying to her mouth as tears cascaded down her cheeks.

She clutched Savannah’s arm, trembling with desperation. “Mom! Please, stop them! Please!”

“Elissa!” Savannah’s voice was cold as she pulled her daughter away. “Stay out of this! It’s just a lesson—he’ll be fine! Come with me!”

    A lesson?

Elissa couldn’t believe it. She saw the agony etched deep in Ernest’s face.

“Ahhhhh!” Another shock mmed through him—his knees buckled, and he crumpled to the ground again.

“Ernest!” Desperation propelled Elissa forward, breaking free of her mother’s grip.

She dropped to her knees, catching him before he fell.

“Ernest?” So close, she could hear his ragged breaths and feel the cold sweat dampening his forehead. His head lolled weakly against her shoulder.

“Why? Why?” Elissa whispered, grief and confusion tangled in her voice. She had only spoken to him—why this cruelty?

“You!” Her tear-streaked eyes zed at the guards around them. Clutching Ernest fiercely, trembling but resolute, she dered, “If you still want to hurt him, hurt me too!”

The guards faltered, exchanging uneasy nces, stunned by her boldness—how could they possibly dare to hurt her?

“Enough! Put those away!” Savannah sprang forward, yelling.

    “Don’t you dare hurt her!”

Elissa clung to Ernest—her body could conduct the shock.

She could never risk her daughter getting hurt.

“Yes, ma’am!” The guards swiftly pulled back their stun guns.

“Back off! Everyone, step away!” Savannah’smand rang out, sharp and upromising, still unsatisfied as she ordered the guards to retreat further. Only then did she turn her attention back to Elissa.

Her voice softened, gentle now, as she reached out her hand. “Elissa, it’s all over. They’ve stepped back—he’s going to be fine. Come inside with me, okay?”

“Okay…” Elissa nodded weakly, slowly releasing her hold on Ernest’s arm.

“Elissa.” Ernest summoned what little strength remained and gripped her hand tighter.

He leaned in close, his lips barely brushing her ear. His voice, fragile but unwavering, whispered, “The child… is ours. Yours and mine—ours.”

Elissa stood frozen, shock anchoring her in ce.

Unable to stop him, Savannah turned away, closing her eyes tightly, the heavy truth settling like a shadow over them all.
