Chapter 3080

    ?Chapter 3080:

There was no sense in following anymore. If she wanted Emma, then so be it.

He would have to find another way to reach her.

Before long, Emma swung by to pick Elissa up and began the drive home.

    “What went on back there?”

Emma asked, eyes flicking toward Elissa with clear concern. “Did things not end well with Mr. Flynn?”

At this point, Elissa truly regarded Emma as a friend she could trust.

“Emma…” Elissa began gently, finally choosing honesty. “My mom doesn’t want me to be with him.”

“You’re kidding,” Emma said, her brows lifting. A slow nod then followed as she processed it.

She’d already suspected something like that anyway. After all, she had once been coaxed into admitting her silly crush on Ernest right in front of Elissa—just to stir things up.

“But what about you?” Emma asked in a gentler tone. “What do you really want? That’s what actually matters.”

Even without knowing every detail, it was clear to Emma that neither of them had let go of their feelings.

    ???????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

Silence fell as Elissa lowered her head and gave a small shake.

She honestly didn’t have an answer.

“That’s fine,” Emma said atst, offering a kind smile. She left it at that and focused on the road, guiding the car back toward the estate.

Later that evening, Elissa’s phone buzzed, and Savannah’s name appeared on the screen.

“I’m so sorry, sweetheart,” Savannah gently said. “I’ll have to stayte at work tonight. Neville’s still at the office, and William has something at school. Looks like you’ll have to have dinner alone tonight, darling. I’m so sorry, but I promise I’ll be home as soon as I can.”

“It’s alright,” Elissa replied gently. And she genuinely meant it. Everyone had their own share of duties, and she knew how much her mother had already sacrificed for her sake. Thest thing Elissa wanted was to add to that weight.

    “I’ll manage on my own.”

“That’s my girl,” Savannah murmured fondly. “Let’s n something together this weekend, okay?”

    “Okay.”

After the call ended, Elissa set her phone aside and turned to the maid. “You can bring dinner out now.”

She finished her meal quietly, then made her way upstairs to her room.

Just as Elissa was about to step into the shower, her phone started buzzing again.

    “Emma?”

“Elissa!” Emma’s breathless voice came. “Mr. Flynn’s left the hospital!”

Elissa’s stomach dropped. “What? When did that happen?”

“Right after you left,” Emma said quickly. “He signed himself out—wouldn’t listen to anyone! I only just found out.”

“Where did he go?” Elissa asked.

    “Most likely home.”

    “He shouldn’t have done that!”

    “I know! It’s insane!”

Sure, his wounds hadn’t looked too serious, but there was a reason the doctor wanted him monitored for a full day.

“Elissa… did you say something that might have made him do something reckless?”
