Chapter 3050

    ?Chapter 3050:

The moment Hadley’s name came up, Eric’s tone brightened with excitement.

“Ernest, you probably haven’t caught the entertainment news from hometely, have you?” Eric asked, a grin audible in his voice.

“What is it?” Ernest sighed, slipping off his sses and setting them aside, then leaned back on the sofa, rubbing his temples.

“Hadley’s new show has finally started airing!” Eric’s excitement nearly burst through the phone. “It’s on television and streaming online! It’s been running for five days already!”

“And?” Ernest replied mildly, already guessing from Eric’s enthusiastic tone that it must be doing well. “Let me guess—it’s a hit?”

“Yes! A massive one!” Eric nearly shouted.

Just then, Hadley came back from theundry room and caught Eric’s loud, animated voice.

A faint blush rose on her cheeks, half from surprise, half from embarrassment.

“Is this really something worth announcing to Ernest?” she teased lightly.

“What do you mean by ‘this’?” Eric shot her a yful re. “This is just the start—it’s only going to get better!”

Pride gleamed in his voice. “We may not take on many projects, but the ones we do? Pure quality.”

Hadley sighed quietly. There was no stopping him when he got like this—so she simply listened.

And truthfully, the show had been met with glowing reviews. She’d spoken with Lisa, Elvin, and Carlden over the phone—each of them full of optimism.

It seemed almost certain the show would be an epic sess.

“Wouldn’t you agree, Ernest?” Eric asked eagerly.

“Yes,” Ernest replied evenly. It was good news for Hadley—and of course, he wished her well.

    “If that’s all, I’ll—”

    “Wait,” Ernest interjected suddenly.

“What is it?” Eric asked, puzzled.

“Well…” Ernest hesitated for a moment. “Could you hand the phone to Hadley?”

“You want to talk to Hadley?” Eric asked, clearly surprised. “What for?”

Ernest’s patience frayed. “Do I really have to exin everything? Just give her the phone!”

“I was only curious…” Eric muttered under his breath.

“Give it here.” Hadley, standing beside him, smiled as she took the phone from his hand.

“Stop pestering Ernest while he’s miles away—or he’ll give you an earful when he’s back!” she scolded lightly.

She lifted the phone to her ear, her voice softening. “Ernest, it’s me—Hadley. What’s wrong? Is this about Elissa?”

“Yes,” Ernest replied, almost smiling. Hadley always understood things instantly—unlike Eric.

“So, how can I help?” Hadley asked gently.

She knew a bit about Elissa—only what Eric had mentioned in passing after his phone conversations with Ernest.

“Things aren’t going smoothly, are they?” she guessed.

And she was right—things definitely weren’t.

“Hadley,” Ernest began, hesitating. “Tell me something—why do girls suddenly change their attitude for no reason?”

“For no reason?” Hadley echoed, then let out a softugh. “Oh, Ernest, that’s never how it is—because…”

No one ever got upset without a reason.

“When a woman’s upset, trust me—there’s always a reason,” Hadley said knowingly.

“Then what about being—contradictory?” Ernest sighed, rubbing his forehead. “Yesterday everything was fine, and today she tells me she doesn’t like me anymore?”

Elissa had actually said that to him?

Hadley didn’t waver. “There has to be a reason.”

“Then—could it be because Savannah said things to her?” Ernest asked after a long pause, the only exnation that came to mind.

“I don’t think so,” Hadley disagreed. “Ernest, the problem isn’t Savannah anymore. It’s Elissa—she’s confronting her own feelings and refusing to ept you.”

“If it’s not Savannah—” Ernest’s brows furrowed deeply. “Then what could it be?”

On the other end, Hadley fell silent for a long moment. Then, with quiet thoughtfulness, she asked, “Ernest—is there another woman by your side?”
