?Chapter 3033:
“Won’t you listen to me, even for a moment? Didn’t I warn you already? He will only cause you pain!”
When he saw confusion flicker in her eyes, Ernest realized Elissa still didn’t grasp what he meant.
“I’m telling you he’s dangerous. He’ll hurt you, Elissa. Do you get it? The kind of pain that doesn’t heal easily!”
Elissa’s eyes widened in shock, and the color drained from her face.
“Elissa?” Ernest’s brows drew together. Had he gone too far?
If fear was what it took to make her understand, then so be it. He leaned closer and said firmly, “You can’t have feelings for him. Promise me you won’t.”
Her eyes flickered in every direction, shining with unshed tears as she red at him. “You’re bad! You are!”
When her efforts to shove him off failed, panic took over. Her voice broke as she shouted, “Mom! Mom!”

Earlier that evening, Savannah had chosen to stay by Elissa’s side, knowing Ernest would be around. Sleep wouldn’te easily, so Elissa slipped out to the terrace for some air.
The moment her frightened voice rang out, the lights in the room flickered on.
“Elissa!”
Ernest went still. Savannah wasing.
He let go of her at once, rose to his feet, and slipped back into his own room just as the ss door opened. From behind the pane, he watched Savannah rush to Elissa, gathering her close and murmuring words offort.
Only then did Ernest exhale, shutting his eyes as his hand pressed against his temple, the weight of anxiety settling deep in his chest.
Morning came with the celebration of Wird’s father’s birthday.
Since Elissa would be there, Ernest abandoned his n of making a brief appearance and decided to remain for the evening banquet. But throughout the event, Savannah never left Elissa’s side, leaving him no chance to speak with her.
With a heavy heart, Ernest lifted his ss and took a slow sip of wine.
“Mr. Flynn,” someone called out from behind.
The familiar voice made Ernest nce over his shoulder. It was Emma.
“Miss Carrillo,” he said politely.
“Why are you standing here all by yourself?” Always full of energy, Emma motioned toward the dance floor. “They’re ying something livelye on, dance with me!”
Before he could answer, she took hold of his arm and tugged him forward. “Let’s go, Mr. Flynn!”
Unprepared for her sudden enthusiasm, Ernest found himself swept into the crowd.
With a yful grin, Emma rested one hand on his shoulder and stretched out her other hand invitingly. “Shall we, Mr. Flynn?”
A faint crease formed between Ernest’s brows as his gaze flicked around the room, checking who might be watching. Then, after a pause, he muttered, “Okay.”
Ernest lifted his hand, letting his fingers lightly brush hers as they began to move with the rhythm of the song.
A gentleugh escaped Emma. “I didn’t expect this—you dance wonderfully, Mr. Flynn!”
Keeping his tone even, Ernest replied, “I only know so much.”
