Chapter 3029

    ?Chapter 3029:

“Mr. Flynn, look at this!” said Emma, stepping aside to cradle a delicate blue blossom in her hand. “That’s a plumbago,” she told him.

“Yes,” Ernest answered with another brief nod.

He wasn’t particrly familiar with flowers, though he recalled seeing something simr in the garden back at the Flynn mansion. The name, however, escaped him.

Emma carefully plucked one from its stem and lifted it beside her ear. “How does it look?”

Ernest remained silent, giving her a polite nod.

What else could he possibly say?

    ??hе ??????? ????????ews о?? ??а??nov??????.сo??

“Really?” Emma rolled her eyes yfully. “Then I’ll wear it!”

She tried to tuck the flower into her hair, but it slipped out each time.

Ernest looked away, waiting patiently while she struggled with it.

“Mr. Flynn?” Emma called softly, her voice lilting. “Could you lend me a hand?”

Ernest turned to her, uncertain of what help she needed.

“Here,” Emma stepped closer and tilted her head forward, pointing toward her hair. “There’s a pin here. Could you slide the stem through it?”

Seeing no polite way to refuse, Ernest let out a quiet breath and agreed.

Otherwise, they’d be standing there indefinitely.

“Hand it to me,” he said.

“Thank you,” she replied, smiling as she passed him the flower.

Not far behind them, Savannah walked arm-in-arm with Elissa, while Neville followed at their side, all heading down the same path toward the garden’s glow.

Elissa froze mid-step, her eyes fixed ahead.

“Huh?” Savannah blinked, puzzled. “What made you stop?”

Neville, standing close by, quietly motioned toward his wife.

A flicker of confusion crossed Savannah’s face. Tracing where Elissa was staring, she turned her head and froze.

    “Wait, isn’t that…?”

    Ernest?

It made sense for Ernest to be here since Wird had likely extended an invitation.

But the woman standing beside him caught her attention. Who was she? The way they stood together looked far too familiar.

Savannah shifted her gaze to her husband. “Neville, do you have any idea who that woman is?”

“Have you forgotten already?” Neville replied, lifting a brow. “I can’t me you, though. I didn’t recognize her right away either.”

Earlier, while Savannah had stayed with Elissa to let her rest, Neville had taken the chance to mingle with the Carrillo family. That was when they brought up Emma’s name, and everything clicked.

“It’s Emma. She and Elissa went to the same middle school, and they even spent a year together in college.”

Emma hadter left the country to study overseas.

Savannah’s eyes brightened as memory dawned. “Oh, that’s right. It’s her.” She then gave a small shake of her head before speaking. “She’s changed so much. No wonder I didn’t recognize her.”

    “You’re right.”

Savannah’s gaze drifted back toward Emma.

Her brows knitted in suspicion. “What’s going on between them? Could the Carrillo family be up to something?”

“Not sure,” Neville replied. “Emma’s been settled in Tidebourne for years. If she decided to move to Srixby, she’d manage just fine. Even with the distance.”

Of course, for the Flynn family, that distance hardly mattered at all.

“It alles down to what Ernest decides.”
