Chapter 3005

    ?Chapter 3005:

Ernest had rushed off to find Elissa, leaving Quentin behind to help Eric manage the Flynn Group, yet Eric still felt the weight of it all pressing down on him.

In times like these, N’s endless praise for the perks of a sprawling family rang especially true.

Sadly, for all the brothers in the Scott family, not one was trustworthy.

“I’ve got a clever thought for you,” Hadley murmured as she slipped into the study, a cool, moist facial cloth draped over her face.

“Come closer,” Eric said, spinning his chair to face her and stretching out his arms in wee.

Hadley padded over and settled onto hisp.

Eric drew her in tight. “What’s this brilliant n of yours?”

“It’s straightforward,” Hadley answered. “Isn’t Phillips just drifting along with nothing to anchor him these days?”

    Phillips?

Eric squinted, mulling over her words in silence.

“What’s swirling in that mind of yours?”

Hadley inquired, lifting her hand to cradle his jaw, tracing the prickly stubble that had sprouted anew since his morning shave.

    ??????o????????d ????????????е????.cоm ???? ??оu?? ??ri??nd??

“Don’t let disciplining Phillips stir up extra headaches for you.” She knew Phillips had been sidelined for concealing Eric’s history with Hadley when he lost his memories.

“Phillips didn’t really have a choice. Also, by that logic, shouldn’t Ernest and I top the list for punishment?” Hadley pressed on.

Eric arched a brow, conceding the point.

She had a gift for bending logic to her will, but with her championing Phillips, he would dly honor her plea.

“So, what’s your proposal?” he asked.

    “Summon Phillips right now.”

And just like that, Phillips was called in.

It had been ages since he had stood face-to-face with Eric, and, clueless about the summons, anxiety knotted his stomach.

    “Mr. Scott.”

“Yes,” Eric replied with a nod, his demeanor steady andposed. “Tomorrow, you and Xander swap roles again.”

“Understood…” Phillips bobbed his head on autopilot, but then jolted as the meaning sank in, gazing up in stunned wonder. “Mr. Scott, did you say…?”

“You caught it perfectly.” After saying his part, Eric didn’t bother to repeat himself; he knew Phillips had gotten the message.

He jabbed a finger his way, voice low and resonant. “Back in the assistant spot, but you’ll draw only base pay. No extrasing your way…”

    Phillips stood mute.

    He hadn’t imagined it!

“As for reinstating those perks…” Eric drawled on, “that remains to be seen.”

It hinged on Phillips’ uing efforts.

“You in?” Eric pressed, locking eyes with Phillips. “If you’re…”

“Absolutely!” Phillips agreed instantly. “Mr. Scott, count me in!”
