Chapter 2931

    ?Chapter 2931:

N let out another snort. “Good. Keep it that way.”

Turning back to Joy, she softened her tone. “Come on, Joy. Let’s go together.”

Afterwards, Eric reached for his phone and called Xander. He gave his instructions clearly. “Contact people at East Entertainment Media. I want the details of Hadley’s schedule.”

    “Right away, Mr. Scott.”

“And one more thing…” Eric narrowed his eyes as he continued, “Pull up every project we’re working on with the Gomez family in Lunville. I want aplete report.”

“I’ll get on it, sir.” Xander nodded, quietly bracing himself for another long night.

Soon enough, Eric received a stack of files from Xander. He sat down to read through them, line by line, before heading over to Ernest’s study.

Once Eric finished exining his thoughts, Ernest’s frown deepened. “You’re absolutely certain about this?”

    ?????????? ???????? ?????????????????? ???????? ??????????????????.??????

Without hesitation, Eric answered, “It’s the only way that really makes sense.”

Ernest said nothing else, though the look he gave Eric said it all—in irritation mixed with a hint of contempt. A smirk crept onto Ernest’s face. “Funny. Weren’t you the one who imed you’d moved on? Now you’re going back to fight for Hadley?”

Eric stared at him, lost for words. Did Ernest really have to twist the knife like that?

Once out of the study, Eric dialed Xander. “Hey. I’ve got another job for you.”

Xander’s jaw nearly dropped at what he heard. Had the Gomez family somehow managed to get on Eric’s bad side?

Still, he kept his thoughts to himself. It was his job to follow orders, not to question them, especially at the end of a long day.

When the call ended, Eric tucked his phone away.

The Scott Group’s history with the Gomez family in Lunville stretched back for years. But no partnership couldst if only one side made the effort.

A faint grin tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Did Ellis really see himself as untouchable?

The guy was too naive—too protected, toofortable under the family’s wing. Please. He still had a lot to learn. And whatever he failed to grasp, his family would figure out soon enough. For a family as prominent as the Gomez family, there was no way everyone could be that oblivious.

Work had been piling up for Ellistely. He barely found time to text Hadley, much less take her out or strengthen their rtionship, and he hadn’t made it home in days. Most nights, he just crashed on the office sofa.

One morning, the sharp trill of his phone pulled him out of an uneasy sleep. His brother’s name shed across the screen. Allen Gomez.

Ellis propped himself up and answered, “Yeah, Allen? What’s going on?”
