Chapter 2915

    ?Chapter 2915:

“Eric is going to Olisvale Bay this evening.”

When Hadley heard this, she frowned.

“Did Mr. Scott ask him toe back?”

“I’m not sure,” Xander answered honestly.

“Eric didn’t mention it, and I didn’t ask. But Eric said he woulde back for sure before Joy goes to bed.”

With that, Hadley stopped asking questions.

“Okay. Got it.” She ended the call, her thoughts drifting.

Ferris and Eric never really got along. Most of the time, it was Ferris who called him back. Eric would never return on his own unless there was a reason.

He was probably dealing with something.

That night, over at Olisvale Bay,

Ferris and Eric sat facing each other, a silent standoff with tension thick in the air.

Eric arched his eyebrow and said, “Hurry up and sign.”

Hadley had just stepped inside when she suddenly froze.

    What was Eric doing?

    “Hadley.”

Eric had a shirt draped loosely over his shoulders, his smile uneasy.

“Were you looking for me? Did you need something?”

    “Yes…”

Hadley offered a small smile. Should she admit that she came to check on his wound? But it was obvious. He had only bothered to put his shirt on after seeing here in. Was he trying to keep her from seeing something? Maybe that was reasonable. Based on what he’d told her before, he had already let the past go. From now on, he would only be her brother. So maybe keeping a little distance was the right thing to do.

    Hadley forced a smile.

“N’s already gone to bed. I was just about to head over to Crimson House, and I wanted to see if you’d like toe with me…”

    She nodded toward his back.

    ?????? ?????????????? @ ?????????ν??????﹐?????

“Since you’re changing your bandages, I’ll let you be. I’ll head out first.”

“Wait!” Eric called out after her, sounding flustered.

“I’ll be done in a minute. Just wait for me outside, okay?”

    “Alright,” Hadley answered lightly.

“I’ll step out for a bit.” She pushed the half-open door and stepped out.

Standing at the doorway, Hadley drifted into thought. After a while, she chose not to wait by the door any longer and quietly made her way back to Crimson House.

Meanwhile, in the sunroom, Eric told the doctor quietly, “Don’t let Hadley find out that my wound still isn’t healing the way it should.”

Earlier, Hadley had told him time and again to rest properly and not go back to work until he was fully recovered. But he never listened.

If Hadley found out now, wouldn’t she be upset? The doctor gave a nod.

“Understood, Mr. Scott. You don’t have to worry.”

Once the bandages were changed, the doctor handed Eric two boxes of pills.

“Once a day. Take after a meal.”
