?Chapter 2903:
“They’re here! They’re here!” Kira, sharp-eyed, pointed through the trees at the approaching convoy.
“Mrs. Flynn, look—it’s Mr. Flynn’s car! And Mr. Scott’s! Everyone’s returned!”
“Yes, yes!” Tears welled in N’s eyes, her heart overflowing with relief.
Momentster, the cars rolled to a stop at the grand entrance. Ernest stepped out with Locke in his arms, Hadley with Joy, while Eric walked beside them.
The younger generation lined up before their great matriarch.
“Grandma.”
“Great-grandma!”
“Great-grandma!”
Locke and Joy were set down, and they dashed forward eagerly.
“Oh, my darlings!” N wept openly as she knelt to gather both children into her arms.
“You’re back, you’re safe—that’s all that matters!”
This time—thank heavens—it wasn’t like before, when Ernest and Eric had gone missing.
Inside the car, Hadley’s phone suddenly began buzzing from within her bag.
Ernest and Eric moved closer together, speaking gently to ease N’s heart so she wouldn’t grieve too deeply and fall ill.
“Grandma, Locke and Joy have returned. This is something to celebrate.”
“Yes, that’s right,” N replied, brushing the tears from her eyes as she offered a wavering smile and a nod.
She caressed the chubby cheeks of the two children and said softly, “Locke and Joy are truly blessed.”
Back then, their father had never been as fortunate.
That year, Ernest and his younger brother were kidnapped and fell into the hands of human traffickers. More than twelve long months passed before he was finally rescued.
For N, that year was like living through death itself.

One could easily imagine how overjoyed she had been when the police finally brought word of her grandsons’ whereabouts. And one could also imagine how deeply grateful she had felt toward Linda.
However, yearster, N came to learn that one of the boys who returned was not truly her grandson.
By contrast, Locke and Joy seemed blessed beyond measure. Even so, the events of the past few days were enough to leave N’s heart aching.
“Come, let’s head inside.”
N sped the children’s hands and guided them toward the house.
“I’ve had your favorite treats prepared… Today, no one will hold you back. Eat as much as you want!”
“Yay! Thank you, Grandma N!”
“Wow! Great-Grandma, you’re the best!”
The whole family, chatting andughing, went inside together. As soon as they entered, Locke and Joy’s nanny came forward, scooping the children up and leading them off for food.
With affection in her eyes, N let out a sigh before asking Ernest and Eric, “Now that the children are safely back, what about the traffickers? Were they ever caught?”
“Not yet…” Ernest frowned and shook his head, giving his grandmother a brief ount of the conversation he and his brother had earlier.
