Chapter 2887

    ?Chapter 2887:

    “I’ming with you.”

“But…” Hadley faltered, brows knitting with concern.

“No buts.” His tone was steady, unshakable.

    “We’re going together.”

For a moment, their eyes locked.

Then Hadley drew a deep breath and nodded.

    “Alright. Together.”

She turned and called into the hall, “Phillips!”

    Phillips entered quickly.

    “Hadley?”

He had caught Hadley’s voice moments earlier, so it was only natural that he addressed her as he stepped inside.

“There’s news about Locke and Joy,” she said without preamble.

“We’re leaving immediately. Eric’sing with us, and I want a doctor to travel with us as well.”

    “Understood,” Phillips replied at once.

    “I’ll arrange everything.”

Within the hour, everything was prepared.

Hadley carefully helped Eric onto the RV, where a doctor was already waiting, the interior equipped with all the necessities of a hospital ward.

She settled him onto the bed, arranging him gently on his side.

“Is thisfortable? Do you want another pillow?”

    “No,” Eric murmured.

    “I’m fine.”

“Alright.” Hadley turned away, wringing out a warm towel. From the hospital room to the vehicle, Eric had broken into a sweat.

    ?????????????? ????????: g???????ν?????????????

“Wipe off the sweat,” she murmured as she returned, gently dabbing his brow. Then, cing a cup in his hands, she added softly, “Drink more water.”

His body, drained by the sweat, urgently needed hydration.

“Okay.” Eric epted obediently, sipping from the cup before handing it back.

Once she set it aside, Hadley drew the curtains and nced at her watch.

    “Get some sleep.”

    Eric shook his head faintly.

    “I’m not very tired.”

“Even so—” Hadley gave him a pointed look, her voice firm yet caring.

“Rest isn’t just about being tired. It’s what your wounds need to heal, what your body needs to regain its strength. Don’t you understand?”

“Yes,” Eric admitted dazedly, her tone leaving no room for refusal.

    “You’re right.”

    “Then close your eyes.”

She gestured toward the opposite seat.

She’d be right next to him.

    Eric felt a quiet warmth.
