Chapter 2833

    ?Chapter 2833:

“You can rely on us. We won’t slip up.”

“Excellent.” Ellis nced at his watch.

“I’ll be backter tonight, but for now I need to take care of the final details at both sites.”

Those arrangements had to be secured before anything else.

    “Thanks.”

“There’s no need to thank me.”

As Ellis stood, his expression softened when his gaze lingered on Hadley. With a note of warmth, he said, “I’m leaving now.”

“Alright,” Hadley murmured, startled by his gentleness. She rose as well.

    “Let me walk you out…”

“Don’t trouble yourself.” Ellis shook his head.

“The rain hasn’t stopped, and you’ll only end up soaked.”

In truth, he could tell she wasn’t well enough to be standing at all.

“Then I won’t,” Hadley said, too weary to insist.

“Please take care on the road.”

“Alright.” Ellis gave a brief nod before leaving with his men.

When the clock struck six, Quentin and Xander arrived, each hauling two heavy suitcases.

Altogether, the four cases were set squarely on the coffee table.

“Inside each case is five million. Altogether, it makes twenty.”

“We didn’t get the chance to record the serial numbers.”

No one in the Flynn family objected.

To them, the money meant nothingpared to the safe return of the children.

Once everything had been checked, Quentin and Xander carried the suitcases back to the car. Hadley then called out to the men, “Dinner’s served.”

    ???????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ??????????: ?????????ν???????????????

Her tone carried unusual strength as she urged everyone, “You all need to eat well. Tonight requires clear minds.”

Ernest and Eric exchanged a quick look, then answered together, “You’re right.”

After dinner, the family sat in restless silence, eyes fixed on the ticking clock as the minutes dragged by in unbearable tension.

By the time the clock struck eight, Ellis arrived with his men.

“Mr. Flynn, Mr. Scott,” he greeted.

A bulletproof vest was strapped across his shoulders. With a signal, one officer stepped forward and presented two more vests.

“These are for you both. Put them on.”

“And me?” Hadley asked in surprise, brow furrowing.

    “Why don’t I get one?”

Ellis turned to her with a frown, then shook his head firmly.

“You’ll remain in the car with the backup team.”

    “No,” Hadley said at once.

    “I’ming with you!”

“Hadley!” Eric cut in sharply, gripping her arm. His brow creased as he added, “Don’t argue. Fewer people means less risk. Ernest and I will take care of this.”
