Chapter 2810:
“Locke.” Savannah reached for his hand gently.
“There’s no rush. We still have time. Think about it carefully.” She nced at her watch.
It was time to go.
She had only managed toe this far because her husband had called in a favor. Even so, she couldn’t linger. This was a school for the children of the wealthy and powerful, and their safety was guarded fiercely. Outsiders were never allowed to stay long.
“Locke.” She opened her arms.
“Come here to Grandma.”
“Okay.” The boy stepped forward—small, but brave.
“Good boy.” Savannah’s voice cracked as she wrapped him in her arms.
“Your mommy misses you so much… she asked Grandma to hug you for her.”
The ser ball slipped from his grasp, forgotten.
Locke wrapped his thin arms around Savannah right away.
“Grandma, tell Mommy… I miss her too. So, so much. When I hug you, it feels like I’m hugging her.”
“Alright… alright, sweetheart.” Savannah could no longer hold back her tears.
Such a tender, sweet little one.
“Locke.” She pulled away slightly, speaking quickly now.
“Grandma has to leave. In a few days, during your next PE ss, I’lle back. If you make your decision, tell Grandma then.”
She hesitated, then added softly, “Your mother said it’s your choice. If you want to stay with your dad, she won’t be upset. What matters most… is that our Locke is happy.”
“Then, Grandma…” Locke tilted his head, his voice uncertain.
“If I choose Daddy… can I still see Mommy?”
Savannah paused, then nodded gently.
?????????? ???? ??????????????: ?????????????????????????
“Of course. But you’ll have to wait a while. Mommy can’te to see you yet. And…”
She stroked his hair with a tender hand and added, “Mommy and Grandma live very far away. We won’t be able to visit often. But we love you—no matter how far, that will never change. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Locke’s small head bobbed, his face serious.
“I understand.”
“Then Grandma has to go now.” Savannah slipped on her sunsses, waved, and turned away, walking briskly.
“Goodbye, Grandma!” Locke called after her, watching her figure grow smaller and smaller.
“Locke!” His friends came running from the field.
“What are you doing?”
“Who was that?”
“Where’s the ball?”
After PE, Locke returned to ss. His face was calm, his voice steady. Even in front of Joy, he revealed nothing. The day went on as usual. So did the evening at home.
The next day, there was no PE.
