Chapter 2794

    ?Chapter 2794:

The discussion with Ernest had dragged on longer than he intended, and he wondered if Joy had already gone to bed.

When he reached Crimson House, the silence confirmed his guess. Melba greeted him and said, “Hadley managed to put Joy to sleep.”

“She then went back to her room,” Melba added, gesturing upstairs.

“Do you want to check on her?”

“There’s no need.” Eric shook his head and let a faint smile touch his lips.

Did he really deserve to see her whenever he pleased anymore?

    No, of course not.

“I’ll head out for now,” he answered.

Tomorrow morning, he nned toe back and make things right with Joy.

“Good night, Mr. Scott. Please take care.”

At the doorway, Melba apanied him until a servant suddenly came up to her.

“Melba, pleasee check if everything is prepared. Miss Pearson needs those things taken to White Lake tomorrow.”

Without hesitation, Melba answered, “I’ll check them right away.”

She then turned to Eric with a small, apologetic smile.

“Mr. Scott, I won’t be able to walk you any further. Please take care on your way out.”

Instead of leaving, Eric paused and considered his thoughts before asking, “Does Hadley often visit White Lake?”

With a quick nod, though confusion flickered in her expression, Melba said, “Yes. Mr. Flynn already knows about it… Are you saying you didn’t?”

“I’m aware,” Eric responded, not wishing to linger on the subject.

“Go ahead with what you need to do. I’ll be leaving now.”

    “Of course.”

    ?????????? ???????? ???? ????????ν????????????

Only then did Eric step out of Crimson House.

For someone who had been struggling with amnesia for half a year, Hadley’s visits had slipped past his notice.

Still, the truth was obvious to him now, even without further exnation.

White Lake Prison was where Chelsey remained behind bars.

In her room upstairs, Hadley stepped out of the bathroom and picked up the phone when Ellis’ name appeared.

    Ellis wasted no time.

“Are you heading to White Lake tomorrow?”

“Yes, I am,” Hadley said while settling into a chair and rubbing her hair with a towel.

    “I’ll drive you there.”

“There’s no need,” Hadley replied firmly.

“I’m perfectly fine going on my own. You don’t have to trouble yourself.”

“It’s not trouble at all,” Ellis said.

“I’ve got business in White Lake tomorrow anyway. Taking you along won’t be out of the way.”

    Hadley’s response didn’te right away.

Was he being truthful about that?
