Chapter 2790

    ?Chapter 2790:

One evening, the Flynn family sat together in the dining room for dinner when Eric’s phone suddenly rang.

His eyes dropped to the screen, and his face darkened the moment he answered.

    The caller was Ferris.

“Hello?” Eric’s tone carried a light edge of carelessness.

    “What do you need?”

“Eric.” The voice on the other end rasped with age, rough and dry like gravel.

A shaky sigh slipped through before Ferris spoke again.

    “It’s your brother… no, I mean Gifford…”

    Eric arched a brow.

    “What about him?”

“He…” Ferris faltered, his words catching in his throat.

    “He’s been arrested.”

Stunned, Eric’s eyes shook as if the floor beneath him had shifted. For a moment, he thought he had misheard.

    “Say that one more time!”

“I said…” Ferris’ voice came again.

“Gifford has been caught. The police found just him.”

After Bianca’s arrest and the release of the video she secretly recorded, the police wasted no time issuing a warrant for Gifford. A tip soon followed, allowing the Srixby authorities to track him down and make the arrest.

Because Ferris was Gifford’s father, the police immediately reached out to him with the news.

“I understand.” Eric gave a short reply on the phone before cutting the call.

Around the dining table, every gaze shifted toward him—except for Locke and Joy, who remained absorbed in their meal, blissfully unaware.

Eric’s eyes moved from Hadley to N, and atst he turned toward Ernest.

    ???????????????? ???????? ????????????????.??????

    “It’s Gifford… They’ve caught him.”

The news struck like lightning, leaving everyone stunned, for none of them had ever expected it to arrive so abruptly.

“Are you certain?” Hadley asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.

“How could it happen this quickly?”

After all, Bianca had only been taken in not long ago. And now Gifford?

A sharp glint shed in Ernest’s eyes before he released a low, bitterugh.

“Quick? Hardly. He’s been hiding far too long!”

Without speaking, Hadley and Eric met each other’s eyes, both recognizing the fury burning within Ernest.

For them, it was clear. His anger was fueled by the fact that Gifford was the main culprit behind Elissa’s tragedy.

From the moment that terrible incident urred, Gifford had vanished, eluding capture for more than half a year.

To Ernest, those months must have stretched endlessly, each day carrying the weight of loss and rage.

“Ernest…” N’s voice wavered with concern for her grandson.

    “Are you holding up?”

“Grandma, I’m alright.” Ernest’s dark expression flickered for only a moment before he pushed it away. With Locke and Joy sitting close by, he refused to let his anger unsettle them.
