?Chapter 2775:
Fatigue suddenly draped over her as she nced between the despondent Eric and the silent, rigid Ernest.
“Why are both of you so hopeless when ites to matters of the heart?”
Each thought sank deeper, leaving her heart heavier with disappointment.
“The Flynn family has always been few in number. Your great-grandfather’s only dream was to see the family tree grow bigger… yet look at you both.”
For a house of influence, true strength came from legacy and heirs.
“Grandma.”
“Grandma?”
Ernest and Eric spoke at the same time, their eyes meeting briefly, unease etched across their faces.
“That’s enough.” N lifted a trembling hand.
“I’m old now. I can’t rein you in anymore. Live however you want.” Her voice faltered as she called, “Kira?”
“Mrs. Flynn,” came the immediate reply as the housekeeper stepped in from the doorway.
“My room. Take me there now!”
“Of course, immediately.”
Without hesitation, Kira stepped forward, carefully guiding N’s wheelchair and steering her out of the hall with quiet precision. N’s eyesnded on the neat stack of gift boxes by the entrance.
“What’s all this?” N asked, brow furrowed.
“They’re from Mr. Gomez,” Kira replied quietly.
A visitor arriving empty-handed would have been frowned upon.
“How considerate indeed!” N let out a dry, sarcasticugh, shaking her head—not at Ellis, but at Eric.
“If he had shown even half that care for Hadley from the beginning, no one else could have stepped in.”

Few people understood Hadley’s heart better than N did.
“Hadley’s love for Eric ran deep—from her teenage years onward, it was his alone. But… s.” She exhaled slowly.
“Such a tragedy… such a waste.”
Behind her, Ernest and Eric stood silently, side by side, listening to every word.
Ernest’s gaze shifted toward hispanion.
Eric’s face had turned ghostly pale, his body rigid as though the weight of her words had drained the life from him.
The following days kept Hadley constantly upied. Her drama was set to premiere, and promotional events demanded her attention.
Joy’s uing school term required careful preparation as well, with adjusting her sleep schedule at the top of the list.
Eric chose to stay at the Flynn Mansion for the time being, partly to avoid adding to Hadley’s stress, and partly because he couldn’t stand watching her wear herself thin. Most of the publicity events took ce at night.
By the time she returned, exhausted and drained, it was always well past midnight.
Each dawn, Eric made sure to get up ahead of Joy and hurry from the main house to the Crimson House so he could be the one to take care of his daughter while Hadley could sleep in. Nannies were avable, of course, yet the beginning of school felt too important to leave in someone else’s hands. After missing so many years of Joy’s
After missing so many years of Joy’s childhood, he was determined not to let another moment slip away. Early mornings were still a battle for Joy.
