Chapter 2765

    ?Chapter 2765:

Barely moving his lips, he whispered, “Yeah… you’re right.”

    Eric’s breathing grew heavy, uneven.

Ernest’s words echoed in his mind.

Back when his memory was gone, he and Megan had nearly reached the brink of marriage… and Hadley had known about it all along.

Yet even then, she had chosen silence.

Had it not been for that moment of chance, that faint glimpse of something amiss…

    Eric wasn’t angry at her.

How could he be? He had no right.

    It was just that—

“Ernest.” Eric let out a bitter smile, his voice low and rough.

“Hadley… she doesn’t care about me at all, does she? Not even the slightest.”

So indifferent, she wouldn’t even care if he married someone else.

Ernest faltered, unable to find the right words.

    “Ugh!”

Eric suddenly clutched his stomach, his face twisting as he stumbled toward the bathroom.

    “Blergh…”

The sound of violent retching followed.

Ernest frowned, sighing under his breath. After all that drinking—what else could he expect?

He stepped inside, finding Eric crouched by the toilet, pale and haggard after emptying his stomach.

Ernest bent down, attempting to help Eric up. But Eric was far too heavy, his drunken weight uncooperative.

“Xander,” Ernest called out, and the man hurried over.

    ???????? ?????????????? ?????????? ?????????? ???? ??????????ν?????????????

“Here—give me a hand. Help him up.”

“Yes.” Xander nodded, eventually hoisting Eric onto his back.

When Eric finally woke, his head throbbed as though split apart. He pressed his temples, needing a long moment to realize he was in his own room at Flynn Mansion. Had Ernest brought him backst night?

It seemed he had copsed upon arrival—unwashed, reeking of alcohol.

Eric wrinkled his nose in disgust, dragging himself up despite the heaviness in his limbs, heading straight for a shower.

Downstairs, through the ss walls of the living room, he caught sight of the garden.

Hadley hade early from Crimson House, gently supporting N as they strolled among the flowers.

They moved slowly, conversing, both of them smiling softly…

“You awake?” Ernest’s voice came from behind as he adjusted his cuffs and nced over.

“Up early today. Come.” He led the way toward the dining room.

“Coming.” Eric lowered his head and followed quietly.

The table was already set, an array of dishes waiting.

Eric and Ernest sat across from each other, though Eric had no appetite—he merely sipped the ck coffee in front of him, his chest tight, each breath abor.
