    “Hello?” She answered promptly, a smile creeping into her voice. “Mr. Webster, it’s been far too long since we’ve spoken.”


    “Hadley!” Elvin’s tone radiated warmth and genuine cheer. “It has been ages! I’ve been wrestling with whether to call you or not.”


    Not long ago, Hadley had found herself ensnared in serious legalplications, and shortly thereafter, Eric had copsed with illness and required hospitalization. In Srixby, these dramatic events were hardly secrets, though the specific details remained frustratingly unclear to most observers.


    Elvin continued with cautious optimism. “I figured it should be safe to reach out now, right? I heard through the grapevine that Mr. Scott is recovering well. Congrattions, Hadley.”


    Hadley was momentarily stunned. What exactly did he mean by iming Eric was recovering well?


    Without pausing to consider her words, she blurted out in confusion, “Mr. Webster, you said Eric is doing well?”


    “What?” Elvin hesitated, clearly surprised by her reaction. “That’s what reached my ears. Adonis specifically mentioned that today, the entire Scott Group board of directors visited him. Is the information not urate?”

    Hadley feltpletely blindsided by this revtion. Earlier that very day, the Scott family had still been adamantly refusing all visitors. So, after her departure from the hospital, the board members had somehow gained ess to see him?


    “Did I get my information wrong?” Upon hearing only silence from her end, Elvin’s voice filled with genuine concern and apology. “I’m so sorry, Hadley…”


    From his perspective, Hadley, being the person closest to Eric in every way, would naturally possess the most urate knowledge of his current condition.


    “It’s fine,” Hadley quickly reassured him, shaking herself free from her bewildered thoughts. “You didn’t get anything wrong. There’s absolutely nothing to apologize for.”


    If such specific news was circting through their social circles, it must have been deliberately authorized by the Scott family. It appeared that Eric was genuinely making significant progress in his recovery.

    His tone brightened considerably, carrying a note of genuine relief. “Since Mr. Scott is recovering so well, I wanted to reach out on behalf of the entire production team. When do you think you’ll be ready to return to filming?”


    Hadley found herself asking, “Are we nning to resume filming soon?”
