Chapter 2180

    Chapter 2180:

“Ugh…” Addy suddenly bent forward in his wheelchair, both hands clutching his chest.

“Grandpa?” Elissa’s voice broke. “Stay with me!”

“Mr. Hond!” A nurse rushed over, recognizing him at once.

Elissa’s face went pale. “Please, don’t scare me…”

“Get him to the ER!” the nurse shouted. “Page his attending physician—now!”

Ernest rushed to the hospital the moment the distressing news reached him. Outside the emergency room, Elissa stood at the entrance, her anxiety showing as she nibbled her fingernail, pacing restlessly.

Herplexion was ghostly pale, her lips tinged an rming shade of blue—clear evidence that her breath came in shallow, bored gasps.

“Elissa,” Ernest called softly, his voiceced with concern as he approached.

He gestured toward the benches nearby. “There’s a ce to rest over there. Why don’t you sit down and catch your breath?”

“I’m perfectly fine,” Elissa replied, brushing him off with a shake of her head.

“Elissa…” Ernest paused, choosing his words carefully before continuing. “You’re struggling to breathe, and you’re pregnant. Please, just listen to me.” He reached out, gently cing a hand on her shoulder to guide her toward a nearby bench.

“I said I’m fine!” Elissa snapped, shrugging off his touch with a re of frustration. Her eyes, wide and glistening with unshed tears, locked onto his with a mix of defiance and desperation. “How can you expect me to sit calmly when my world is falling apart?”

Ernest stood speechless for a moment, her words striking a chord deep within him. He understood her turmoil all too well—how could he not?

“This is on me,” he admitted quietly, nodding as he stepped back to give her space.

Turning to Quentin, he issued a swiftmand. “Find a nurse. Have a wheelchair and an oxygen bag ready, just in case.” He had to be prepared for anything.

“Right away,” Quentin responded, darting off to carry out the order.

    ???????????????? ?????????? ????: ?????????ν????????.??????

Ernest slipped off his suit jacket and draped it gently over Elissa’s shoulders. If he couldn’t persuade her to rest, he would stand by her side.

“If you feel weary, lean on me,” he murmured.

Suddenly, the emergency room doors burst open, and a nurse hurried out, her face etched with urgency.

“Nurse!” Elissa stepped forward, her voice trembling with both hope and dread. “How is my grandfather?”

“Please, hold on a moment! We’re still working to save him!”

The nurse, rushing to fetch medication, dashed into the nearby pharmacy and returned just as quickly.

As the automatic doors of the emergency room parted once more, fragments of urgent voices spilled out into the corridor.

    “Ready the defibritor!”

    “Clear the area!”

The doors slid shut again, sealing the chaos within.
