Chapter 2085

    ?Chapter 2085:

“Really?” Eric’s gaze flickered. Then he asked, almost hopeful, “So… you think I haven’t aged? That I still look good? Evenpared to before?”

“What are you even talking about?” Hadley gave him a look. “You sound ridiculous. Eric—who barely cared about appearances—suddenly worrying about wrinkles? Something’s off.”

    Then, it suddenly hit her.

Was it because she confessedst night that she used to like him because of his good looks?

“Mr. Scott.” Before she could test her theory, a nurse appeared. “Good morning. Your tests are scheduled. Please follow me.”

She turned to Hadley. “A family member can stay with him during the whole process.”

“Thanks,” Hadley said, quickly picking up his mask and tugging it over his face. “Put this on. Cover everything.”

She secured the mask, and then grabbed his sunsses and slipped them on too. “Alright. Go on, follow the nurse.”

Eric blinked behind the shades. “Hadley, am I really that ugly right now?”

She stared at him in silence.

Her silence spoke volumes, as if saying, “Do you have any self-awareness?”

“I get it,” he said dramatically. “I told you I looked awful. I told you not to look. But you just had to…”

The more he talked, the more wounded he sounded. “Fine, I’m sorry my face scared you.”

Was he seriously acting cute now?

Hadley tried to hold it in but failedpletely. She burst intoughter, doubling over. “Ha! Ha-ha…”

    Eric stared at her, speechless.

“Haha…” Seeing his dumbfounded face, Hadleyughed even harder and grabbed his hand.

“You’re not ugly,” she said between chuckles, trying to coax him. “Don’t be upset—haha…”

    She wasughing while denying it?

    Clearly not convincing.

Eric shot her a mild re, but the sound of herughter softened it. If being ugly meant hearing thatugh, he’d take it. So, he chuckled along with her.

The entire process had been draining.

By the time they finished thest test, Eric was lying t on the examination bed as a nurse wheeled him out.

“Miss Pearson,” the doctor said, “we’re done. We administered some anesthesia earlier, so Mr. Scott may feel drowsy. We’ll keep him here and observe him for the next two hours. If all goes well, he can be discharged after that.”

    “Alright. Thank you.”

    “You’re wee.”
