Chapter 1495

    ?Chapter 1495:

“Elissa.” Robin’s voice came from beside her, strained but polite. He had spotted Ernest too. “Well… I’ll be heading out.”

Elissa opened her mouth to respond, but Robin’s hand suddenly pressed against his abdomen.

    “What’s wrong?”<fn2be1> Latest content published on find(?)ovel</fn2be1>

She turned to him immediately, eyes narrowing. She had already noticed earlier that something seemed off. He looked ufortable.

“It’s nothing…” Robin tried to give a reassuring smile, but it came off weak.

“Really?” she said, clearly not buying it. “Is it your stomach again?”

Robin paused for a second. Then he nodded. “Yeah.”

    “I thought so.”

She wasn’t surprised. After years of living together, she knew his habits—and his health issues. Too much smoking, too much drinking, too many careless choices had left his stomach in a constant state of trouble. He’d been to the hospital for it more times than she could count.

“Where’s your medicine? Did you bring it with you?” she asked.

Robin shook his head. “No… I didn’t think I’d need it today. It’s been a while since itst acted up.”

Elissa let out a breath, a mix of annoyance and concern.

“Ugh…” Robin winced, clutching his stomach tighter. The pain was clearly getting worse.

“You’re in no shape to stand here,” she said, reaching out to steady him with one arm. “Come on, let’s get you to the car. There’s a pharmacy around the corner—I’ll run and get your meds.”

“My usual ones… I know which ones,” Robin replied.

“Okay.” Robin looked at her, something soft in his expression. Even now, she remembered.

“I’ll help you to the car first.”

    “Okay…”

    “Let’s go.”

They had only just taken a few steps when a shadow blocked their way. Elissa looked up. Standing in front of them was Ernest. Tall, silent, andpletely in their path.

“Mr. Flynn.” Robin stiffened, clearly caught off guard.

Ernest didn’t even acknowledge him. His eyes were locked on Elissa—and more specifically, on her hand wrapped around Robin’s arm. The sight hit him like a punch to the chest.

His jaw tensed as he forced out two sharp words. “Let go.”

“What?” Elissa blinked, confused for a moment. Then her expression turned indifferent.

She simply looked at Robin. “Come on. Let’s go.”

“Alright…” Robin nced at Ernest, looking uneasy, but nodded.

But before they could move, Ernest’s voice rang out again. “I said let go!” He stepped forward and grabbed Elissa’s free arm, his expression grim and his eyes ring with emotion. “Elissa, let go of him! Don’t touch him!”
