Chapter 1319

    ?Chapter 1319:

“Got it!” Danica replied, and without a moment’s hesitation, the trio set off for the Flynn Group.

Meanwhile, Ernest had just wrapped up a meeting and was settling into his lunch break when Linda’s unexpected arrival caught him off guard.

“Linda? What brings you here?” he asked, his toneced with surprise. “Is my visit unwee?”

Linda’s lips curved into a faint, teasing smile. “That is not what I meant,” Ernest said, his brow knitting slightly. “You know I’m not one for smooth words.” He wasn’t being inhospitable.

Despite Linda’s departure from Flynn Mansion, his vow to care for her lifelong remained steadfast.

Taking a seat across from her, Ernest’s voice softened. “I was just surprised and thought something might be amiss.”

“I’m perfectly fine,” Linda assured him, her smile unwavering but her eyes glinting with purpose. “I came to share a little tidbit. Guess who I saw at lunch today?”

“Who?” Ernest’s brow quirked, a flicker of unease stirring.

“Elissa,” Linda said, her smile vanishing as the name left her lips. Ernest froze, caught off guard. Had they crossed paths? Had words been exchanged?

“Elissa isn’t as guileless as she seems,” Linda continued, her gaze locked on Ernest, watching for the slightest shift in his expression. Slowly, deliberately, she delivered her revtion. “She was with Zane, asking him to handle her divorce case.”

Her hands clenched unconsciously, her pulse quickening as she spoke. Then, she waited, breath held, for Ernest’s reaction.

    One second passed. Then another.

Ernest remainedposed, his posture steady, his face betraying nothing.

“Why aren’t you…?” Linda’s voice faltered, astonishment creeping in. “Ernest, did you hear me? Elissa is handling a divorce. She is married.” Ernest lifted his eyes, meeting Linda’s with a calm, unflinching gaze.

Linda hesitated, her confidence wavering. “What? You don’t believe me?”

    She was ready for this.

“I wasn’t the only one who heard it!” Linda dered, her voice rising with urgency as she gestured toward the door. “Danica was with me at lunch—she heard it too. So did my caregiver. They’re right outside. Call them in, they’ll back me up. I’m not spinning tales, Ernest!”

“Linda,” Ernest said gently, cing a steadying hand on her arm, his frown deepening as he shook his head. “There is no need. I don’t need to hear from them.”

“What?” Linda blinked, confusion knitting her brow. “Why not?” Her agitation swelled. “Elissa has deceived you! She is married! How could she, a married woman, pursue you so shamelessly—”

Linda stopped short, the air around them falling into a heavy silence.

She stared at Ernest, realization dawning.

    His calm was too absolute, too unshaken.<fn5dd7> ???? ????s? ???????s ?? find?novel</fn5dd7>

Linda whispered, shaking her head as the truth settled in, dimming the fire in her eyes. “Don’t tell me you knew? You’ve known all along that she is married?”

Ernest’s brow furrowed, his gaze steady as he gave a slow, deliberate nod.

“Ah!” Linda’s breath hitched, a soft gasp escaping her. “You knew? You actually knew?” Ernest held his silence, his expression unyielding, offering no words to soften the blow.

“Haha…” Linda let out a suddenugh. “Ernest, you knew all along—and you still want her?”
