Chapter 1314

    ?Chapter 1314:

Caught off guard, Hadley paused. Eric was still waiting?

Yet this time, she didn’t spare him a nce, merely shaking her head. “If he chooses to linger, that’s on him.”

“Hadley…” Chelsey quickened her pace to keep up, casting apassionate look back toward Eric.

He remained rooted in ce, his stance unwavering.

“Sir,” Phillips murmured from behind, “we should head out soon.” They had other obligations to address that night.

Phillips let out a quiet breath. For Eric, even a fleeting glimpse of Hadley seemed to suffice.

Eric’s eyes briefly flickered toward the woman nearby before he reluctantly turned away.

With a nod, he agreed, “Fine, let’s move.”

Shortly after nine in the morning, Elissa trailed her supervisor into the towering Flynn Group headquarters.

She was coborating on a project with thepany, and today, her supervisor brought her along to present the initial proposal.

After clearing security, they stepped into the elevator.

Following her supervisor’s lead, Elissa entered but then froze momentarily.

    Inside were Ernest and Quentin.

Her supervisor, recognizing them, offered a warm greeting. “Good morning, Mr. Flynn.”

“Morning,” Ernest replied, his attention shifting to Elissa standing behind. Noticing this, her supervisor gave her a subtle nudge. “Elissa, this is Mr. Flynn.”<fn2439> Th?s chapter is updated by Find?Novel</fn2439>

“Of course.” Elissa smiled politely. “Hello, Mr. Flynn.”

“Hello,” Ernest responded, his eyes catching the folder in her hands. With a friendly tone, he asked, “Are you here to submit the design draft?”

“Yes,” Elissa confirmed, her lips pressing together briefly.

Ernest nodded knowingly and leaned forward to select her floor. “The…”

    “19th floor, correct?”

    “That’s right.”

His thoughtful gesture brought a faint blush to Elissa’s cheeks. She sensed her supervisor’s gaze, tinged with curiosity and perhaps something else.

Thankfully, Ernest wasn’t one for idle chatter.

The elevator soon arrived at the 19th floor.

“Mr. Flynn, we’ll step off here. Goodbye,” her supervisor said.

“Take care,” Ernest replied, his eyes following Elissa as she exited. Once outside, her supervisor nced at her. “Your face is flushed—are you feeling okay?”

“I’m fine,” Elissa replied quickly, shaking her head.

    “Then let’s get moving!”

    “Right.”

Elissa felt a slight unease, a nagging difort in her lower abdomen.

Could her period be starting early?

    It wasn’t due yet.

With no time to dwell, she neared the conference room.
