?Chapter 1247:
“If there’s anything you’re unsure about, don’t hesitate to say so,” Elvin offered.
“You’re joking, right, Mr. Webster?” Sheughed lightly. “This is more than fair.”
“Then if there’s nothing else, shall we make it official?”
“Alright.”
She reached for the pen and signed her name in the space marked for Party B.
The contract came in triplicate. She took her copy and set it aside.
“Excellent.” Elvin grinned and extended his hand. “From this moment on, we’re officially teammates.”
As they stood, something crossed his mind. “Oh—almost forgot. The lead role for that new drama has been finalized—it’s officially yours. I’ll need you to stop by in a few days to sign off on it.”
It still didn’t feel real. She had actuallynded that role?!
Hadley nodded with a quiet smile. “Thank you.”
“What’s there to thank?” Elvin gave her a teasing re,ughing lightly. “We’re on the same team now. It’s literally my job to help you shine. If you seed, the studio seeds—and so do I. That’s how this works, right?”
“Right.” Hadley smiled and nodded.
By the time she got back to her apartment, the sky had already dimmed. It was nearly seven.
She hadn’t taken the car today. As she approached the building, her steps slowed. Eric’s Bentley was parked out front—again.
“He’s here… again?”
Hadley let out a quiet sigh just as she saw him step out of the car and walk toward her.
Before he could even say a word, she coughed.
Eric’s brow furrowed immediately. “You’re still coughing? That medicine should’ve worked by now.” Then he stopped short. His expression shifted. “You didn’t take it, did you?”
“No.” She shook her head firmly, the edge in her voice impossible to miss. Her patience was running thin. “Why do you keep showing up like this? Have I not been clear enough? Or are you just pretending not to understand me?”
?σ???? υ???????????? ι?? ?????????????????.??????
“Hadley…” Eric lowered his head slightly, his voice gentler now, eyes settling on hers.
He hesitated, and then finally spoke. “I’ve moved out of Silver Vis. I’m staying at Olisvale Bay now.”
He rubbed his forehead with an uneasy hand before continuing. “Linda does live at Silver Vis—but in the next unit, not with me in my vi. We’re not… living together. We never were.”
Hadley froze, stunned by what she was hearing. Her clear eyes flickered with disbelief, confusion clouding her expression.
Was that really true?
They were neighbors… not living together?
Given what Hadley knew of Linda, Eric’s exnation might actually be the truth. A woman like Linda could easily blur the lines and twist the story into something it wasn’t.
But what truly caught Hadley off guard wasn’t that. It was what Eric had said just before.
He moved out of Silver Vis?
