?Chapter 1113:
With the anesthesia fully worn off, Elissa felt much better.
Hadley sat by her bedside, offering her strawberries.
“Guess what,” Elissa whispered. “Dn visited earlier.”
“Really?” Hadley’s tone held a knowing edge. “Did you brush him off again? He’s a good guy, you know.”
“I know,” Elissa said, but her brow furrowed. “But no matter how decent he is, I’m still married.”
“Elissa,” Hadley said, squeezing her hand. “Listen to me—once your eyes heal, go through with the divorce.”
Elissa hesitated, but then nodded. “You’re right. It’s time.” Hadley studied her face. “What’s wrong? Are you having second thoughts?”
“No,” Elissa said, shaking her head with a sad smile. “There was a time I couldn’t let go. We were so in love once. But time erodes even the strongest feelings.”
She gestured toward her bandaged eyes. “When he took my sight, whatever was left died.”
Her voice cracked. “I just felt sad… that two people who once loved each other so much now ended like this.”
Hadley gripped her hand in silence.
Suddenly, the door burst open—mmed, really.
“Who’s there?” Hadley gasped, startled by the figure in the doorway.
“You…”
“Hadley, who is it?” Elissa asked, but the neer cut in.
“Elissa, you’re finally out of that sanatorium!” Robin strode to the bed, one hand in his pockets, and the other seizing her chin. “I thought you’d rot in there forever!”
“Robin!” Elissa’s body shook, her fear palpable despite the bandages hiding her eyes. “What… what do you want?”
“Why are you trembling?” Robin’s brow creased as he noticed her shaking, his expression darkening. “Am I that terrifying?”
“Robin!” Hadley snapped. “Have you forgotten what you did to her? To her, you’re worse than a nightmare!”

“A nightmare?” Robin’s gaze fell on Elissa’s bandages, and he grabbed her hand, his voice thick with remorse. “Elissa, I’m sorry. Did I hurt you? I didn’t mean it. Come back with me—I’ll make it up to you, I swear.”
“No!” Elissa shook her head fiercely, trying to wrench free. “Get out!”
“I’m not going anywhere!” Robin held tight. “Elissa, I’ve been searching for you forever. I miss you—I need you!”
“No, no!” Elissa screamed.
As the situation spiraled, Hadley didn’t bother trying to separate them—knowing she wasn’t strong enough to handle Robin. She bolted to the door to call for help.
“Elissa.” Robin scooped her up. “Stop fighting. Come home with me. I’ll change, and we’ll fix this.”
“I said no!” Elissa screamed, thrashing in panic. “Let me go!”
In her frenzy, she slipped from his grasp and crashed to the floor.
“Elissa!” Robin froze, reaching for her. “Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?”
“Don’t touch me!”
As soon as he touched her, Elissa recoiled as if his hands were poison.
