Chapter 1069

    ?Chapter 1069:

Inside the hospital room, Eric unleashed his fury, shattering and overturning everything in his path.

“Argh!” Abruptly, he clutched his head, a searing painncing through his skull. What was this?

He struck his head with his fist, but the agony persisted. Stumbling, he lurched toward the bathroom.

Ernest’s phone buzzed with urgent news from the hospital—that Eric had nearly torn the ward apart. He raced over without dy.

Upon arriving, he found the nurses still sifting through the wreckage. Though they had made some headway, the room remained a scene of devastation. Eric had destroyed nearly everything, sparing only the ceiling.

“Where is Eric?” Ernest asked, scanning the room.

“In the bathroom,” one of the nurses answered. “He’s been in there a while. We’ve knocked several times, but there’s been no reply.”

“Understood.” Ernest nodded and approached the bathroom door, rapping lightly.

“Eric, it’s Ernest… Can you hear me? May Ie in?”

Inside, Eric stood beneath the shower, icy water streaming over him.

The chill dulled his senses, slowly easing the throbbing in his head.

“Eric, speak to me or I’ming inside.” The prolonged silence heightened Ernest’s anxiety, pelling him to get ready to open the door forcefully and step in.

Before he could move, the bathroom door flew open, revealing Eric with his torso soaked, droplets of water falling from his hair.

    There was more to it.

His face was ghostly pale, and his actions were disjointed, as though he was in a trance.

    What could have caused this?

Ernest was unclear on the details, but a nurse had mentioned Hadley’s recent visit.

    Clearly, Hadley was involved somehow.

The sight of Eric in such a state prompted questions. Had there been another argument? Was it more serious this time?

A soft sigh escaped Ernest’s lips as he murmured, “Eric…”

He attempted to offerfort, yet he found himself at a loss for words.

“Ernest.” Eric managed a weak, bitter smile. “Oh, you’re here?”

“Indeed,” Ernest replied, his eyes filled with concern. “You’re drenched. Go change; remember, you have a therapy session soon.”

“Alright.” Eric’s smile broadened slightly, yet it only highlighted the sorrow in his eyes.

Watching this, Ernest felt a pang of distress and quickly told the caregiver, “Please, help him.”

    “Understood.”

As Eric left to change, Ernest turned away, pulling out his phone to dial Linda. “I’ve located Eric…”

He had initially nned to keep this quiet, allowing Hadley and Eric more time together.

However, their rtionship seemed to have deteriorated.

At this juncture, perhaps additionalpany might just be what Eric needed to start healing.
