Chapter 994

    ?Chapter 994:

Ferris blinked in mock confusion. “What are you talking about? What mes?”

“You’re saying you weren’t aware?” Eric retorted with a sneer. “Are you trying to im innocence here, Ferris? Do I look like a fool to you?”

    “Eric, hold on—”

“Enough!” Eric yelled, his action swift as he tackled Ferris onto the sofa. Even Cordell was caught off guard by the sudden move.

    “Mr. Scott!”

“Stay right where you are!” Eric barked.

Cordell opened his mouth, but the situation had already spiraled out of control.

Eric wasn’t empty-handed. He had a knife in his grip, and the de was pressed so close to Ferris’ neck that the slightest twitch could draw blood.

“Okay, okay, I’m not moving!” Cordell eximed, his voice a mix of fear and disbelief. “Mr. Flynn, please, let’s resolve this calmly. Don’t do anything rash.”

With his teeth gritted, Eric bore down on Ferris with an intense look. “What’s going through your mind, Ferris? What are you attempting? If it’s my life you want,e at me. But why drag her into this? What did she ever do to you?”

“Her?” Even under threat, Ferris’ response was calm, a slight smile on his lips. “You’re talking about Hadley, aren’t you?”

Eric was shocked. Ferris had guessed correctly even though he hadn’t mentioned her name at all.

    Why?

A moment of rity then hit him in his rage.

He bit out each word. “You didn’t mix up those addresses by mistake, nor was it a slip of the tongue. You did it intentionally! You swapped the addresses on purpose, didn’t you?”

“That’s correct,” Ferris admitted, his tone one of grim satisfaction. “Have you finally caught on?”

Upon hearing Ferris’ confession, shock froze Eric momentarily. His hand instinctively drove the knife deeper, causing a thin trickle of blood to escape from Ferris’ neck.

“You’ve lost it! Why go after her? What has she done to deserve this? You despise me because I’m illegitimate! Take my life instead and leave her alone!”

“Eric,” Ferris grimaced from the pain, yet his gaze never wavered. “You’re my son!”

As the words hung in the air, a sudden stillness took over, casting a chilling silence around them.

Eric’s mind reeled. The test results confirmed it… he was truly Ferris’ son?

For all these years, the truth had eluded both Ferris and him!

This revtion ignited a whirlwind of emotions in Eric.

    He was indeed Ferris’ son…

“Eric,” Ferris continued with a serious tone, “Hadley isn’t worthy of you! I took it upon myself to handle that problem for you…”

    Handled the problem… for him?

As Eric processed these words, his thoughts sharpened into a cold rity.

His eyes reddened, fueled by a mix of astonishment and fury. “You were behind the Blisey Dock fire!”

    “Exactly,” Ferris confirmed bluntly.

He had been well-informed by his contacts about the events at Blisey Dock and Fralo Mountain.

A twisted smile curled across his face. “Not only did I orchestrate the fire, but I also made sure she knew you abandoned her and went to Fralo Mountain to rescue Linda before that. Even if she survives, she’ll never forgive a man who endangered her life. Your rtionship is doomed!”
