Chapter 907

    ?Chapter 907:

The caregiver also smiled. “Miss Hond, would you like to try kite flying?”

“Can we?” Elissa was curious. “We don’t have a kite, though.”

“They’re giving some out over there,” the caregiver said, linking arms with her. “Let’s go pick one up.”

    “Okay.”

They quickly made their way over and picked up a kite.

The caregiver was visibly excited. “Now, how do we get this to fly?”

Elissaughed. “You’ve never flown one before?”

The caregiver shook her head, ughing at herself. “I just got caught up in the excitement. I don’t really know how to fly a kite properly.”

Elissa had learned to fly kites from Robin when they were dating. However, her current visual impairment and reduced mobility posed a challenge.

    “I’ll do it.”

Just then, a hand reached out to help.

    It was Ernest.

The caregiver swallowed nervously and quietly handed the kite over to him.

“You are…” Elissa tilted her head, tuning into the familiar voice. Since she had lost her sight, she had be adept at recognizing people by their voices. This one struck a chord.

Her brows furrowed slightly. “You are the gentleman who saved mest time, aren’t you?”

“Yes.” Ernest nodded, slightly raising an eyebrow.

So she recognized his voice. Being a man of few words, he was d his voice had made an impression.

Elissa straightened up and said with sincerity, “Thank you for saving me.”

“You’ve thanked me already,” Ernest replied casually, picking up the kite. “Weren’t you going to fly a kite? It’s too crowded here. Let’s find a quieter spot.”

    He nced at the caregiver.

Catching his cue, the caregiver linked arms with Elissa. “Miss Hond, let’s move over there.”

“Oh, okay.” Elissa couldn’t see, but she could tell that the noise began to lessen as they moved away from the crowd.

Once they stopped, Ernest looked at her. “I’llunch the kite first. Just stay right here and don’t move.”

“Okay.” Elissa faced the direction Ernest’s voice wasing from and nodded.

Turning to the caregiver, she asked, “How’s it going?”

The caregiver described the scene. “He’s running with the kite… It hasn’t taken off yet… Oh, now it’s getting up there…”

The caregiver squeezed Elissa’s hand in excitement. “The kite is up in the air!”

“Really?” Elissa felt a surge of joy mixed with a hint of sadness. “It’s a shame I can’t see it.”

Now without her sight, even flying a kite herself was beyond reach. Ernest quickly returned to Elissa with the kite, signaling the caregiver with a subtle gesture to give them some space.

The caregiver nodded, let go of Elissa’s hand, and stepped aside.
