?Chapter 706:
“I know,” he murmured. “I know.”
Back at Silver Vis, Hadley moved through Eric’s room with quiet efficiency, retrieving a suitcase and carefully selecting his belongings. A few sets of clothes. His essentials. The small, familiar things he preferred. One by one, she packed them neatly inside.
Once satisfied, she zipped the suitcase shut and carried it downstairs, where Sebastian, the driver, was already waiting.
She handed it over with a polite nod.
“Thank you, Sebastian.”
Sebastian epted the suitcase with a slight smile.
“No need for such formalities.”
He turned, rolling the luggage toward the car before pausing.
“Shall we head back now?”
Hadley, however, remained where she was.
“Sebastian.” Something in her tone made him stop and nce back.
“You go ahead,” she said evenly. “I won’t be going with you.”
“What?” Sebastian reacted with surprise.
“But…”
“Please, Sebastian, there’s no need to worry,” said Hadley, her smile gentle as she provided an exnation.
“You should go ahead. I’ve spent the night at the hospital and left for the dance studio since this morning. I need to shower and change. If Eric asks about me, just let him know I’ll arrive a littleter.”

“I understand now,” Sebastian responded.
Relieved, Sebastian continued,
“I’ll go deliver the items. Call me when you’re ready, and I’lle to pick you up.”
“Thank you, Sebastian.”
“Anytime.”
Watching Sebastian depart, Hadley then made her way upstairs to the walk-in closet, selecting some clothes before proceeding to the bathroom.
She genuinely needed to freshen up, not just making up excuses.
After the shower, as she dried her hair, Hadley continuously yawned, tears rolling down her face from sheer exhaustion.
Exiting the bathroom, she felt a heaviness in her head and staggered toward the bed, where she promptly copsed.
As soon as her head touched the pillow, drowsiness swept over her. She couldn’t resist the urge to sleep, her eyelids too heavy to keep open. Drifting off, she quickly fell into a deep sleep.
Having delivered the suitcase to the hospital, Sebastian found a nurse updating Eric’s IV setup.
Sebastian stood alone, prompting a puzzled look from Eric.
“Why are you by yourself? Where’s Hadley?”
“She didn’t make it here…” Sebastian said.
