Chapter 701

    ?Chapter 701:

With every word, Linda’s anger deepened.

“You’re always worried sick about her—but does she even spare a thought for you?”

“Stop it, Linda!” Ernest interjected, unable to hold back any longer.

    “That’s enough.”

Turning her back to him, Linda retorted,

    “Will silence alter the truth?”

As Eric’s mood seemed to darken, Ernest quickly intervened.

“In fact, Hadley didn’t waste a momenting here when she heard about your ident. She was right outside the surgery room all that time and spent the night here by your side. It’s likely she had to leave for work because she couldn’t take leave.”

Eric’s face softened into a mild smile upon hearing this.

“Yes, I understand. Hadley’s always careful. She wouldn’t skip work without a good reason.”

Feeling a wave of relief, Ernest replied,

    “I’m d to hear that.”

ming himself for the mishap, he worried about its potential impact on his brother’s rtionship.

“I didn’t consider everything fully. You rest, and I’ll make sure someone gets Hadley the time off she needs to be here with you,” Ernest added.

“Fantastic.” Eric beamed, showing his gratitude.

    “Thanks a lot, Ernest.”

“There’s no need for thanks among brothers.”

Meanwhile, Linda looked on disinterestedly, turning away from the brothers and rolling her eyes.

Phillips went to the dance studioter.

Hepleted the necessary paperwork for Hadley’s leave and found her practicing.

With a grave expression, Phillips informed her,

“Hadley, Mr. Flynn is awake. Your leave is arranged, and I’vee to take you to the hospital.”

Surprised by the urgency, Hadley thought,

“Why rush me to the hospital? Aren’t there nurses to look after things? Do I really have skills superior to those of a nurse?”

Phillips, giving no room for refusal, said firmly,

“Mr. Flynn is asking for you. It’s my duty to bring you to him. Pleasee with me.”

He swiftly took hold of Hadley’s wrist, guided her to the car, and drove straight to the hospital.

Upon reaching the hospital room, Phillips knocked on the door.

    “Mr. Flynn, I’ve brought Hadley.”

With a resigned sigh, Hadley nudged the door open.

    Inside, Eric wasn’t by himself.

Dressed again in her own attire, Linda hadpleted her medical examination, received a clean bill of health, and was preparing to leave.
