?Chapter 582:
“What do you mean?” Hadley responded, momentarily baffled by the sudden question.
Eric’s tone sharpened with impatience. “I’m asking for your opinion.”
“She…” Hadley hesitated, choosing her words delicately. “She’s very attractive and has a lovely figure.”
The awkwardness hung thick in the air, making it difficult for Hadley to even nce at the other woman.
“Exactly.” Eric shed an approving smile, examining the woman. “Allow me to introduce you. She’s my new girlfriend.”
“What?”
“Mr. Flynn?”
Both women reacted simultaneously, stunned.
The woman’s face lit up with joy, her eyes shimmering with emotion as she reached tentatively toward Eric’s hand.
Yet Eric didn’t even spare her a nce, his focus fixed entirely on Hadley.
He continued, smiling faintly, “You see, you made a valid point. I’m certainly not desperate. If I wanted a girlfriend, couldn’t I easily find one? After all, I’m single now.”
A stark contrast to the four years when their marriage still technically existed.
“Of course! You could have a girlfriend if you want,” Hadley acknowledged gently.
But what was his purpose in telling her this?
Was her indifferent response all he sought?
Eric’s expression suddenly darkened, the yful smile vanishing. Grasping the woman’s hand firmly, hemanded curtly, “Let’s go.”

“Oh—yes, Mr. Flynn,” she quickly said.
What was going on?
Hadley stood frozen, disbelief flooding her senses. Were they actually going to leave just like that? She hadn’t even mentioned Elissa’s situation yet.
Without thinking twice, Hadley quickly trailed after them.
“Mr. Flynn! I have something important to tell you—about Elissa…”
Before she could finish, Eric stopped abruptly, ncing back at her.
“I have something urgent to handle.”
Hadley’s heart sank.
Did he genuinely not have time for her? Or was he deliberately brushing her off, hoping she’d give up on her own?
He definitely wouldn’t let Elissa off easily.
“Come with me,” he said decisively. “We can talk on the way.”
Hadley’s eyes brightened instantly. “Oh! Yes, of course!”
Once in the garage, Eric opened the rear door to his car. The woman automatically started to climb inside.
“Who told you to get in there?” Eric’s voice was cool, indifferent.
“Mr. Flynn?” The woman hesitated, confusion clouding her features. Where was she supposed to sit then?
Eric frowned impatiently, nodding toward the front seat. “You’re riding up front.”
“What?” The woman’s eyes widened in astonishment.
Hadley was equally taken aback. Eric was letting his girlfriend sit in the passenger seat while he wasn’t even driving? What exactly was happening here?
