Chapter 570

    ?Chapter 570:

Eric kept both hands on the wheel, a slight smile touching his lips. “I’m taking you somewhere. You’re off work today, right?”

Hadley eyed him warily. “What do you mean, taking me somewhere? My day off has nothing to do with you. Don’t forget—we broke up. Justst night!”

He gave no reply, as if he hadn’t heard her. She felt her nerves spike.

“I asked you a question! Where are you taking me?”

She had no intentions of going on another date with him!

“Rx,” he said calmly, sparing her a quick nce. “You’ll know when we get there.”

Hadley then recognized the route almost immediately—it led straight to Irondeer Road, a hub of upscale boutiques.

She couldn’t help but wonder why Eric was taking her there.

When they finally arrived, Eric brought her into FOUR Hours, a familiar spot known to be part of the Flynn family’s fashion line. The moment they approached the entrance, the store manager and staff hurried out to greet them.

“Mr. Flynn, wee,” the manager said, then turned to Hadley with a warm smile. “Hello, Miss Pearson.”

Hadley raised an eyebrow. They actually knew who she was?

    “Please,e inside,” the manager urged.

Eric gave a brief nod and led Hadley into the store.

The manager followed closely, addressing her in an apologetic tone.

Apparently, Phillips had called and mentioned that Hadley wasn’t happy with the items she’d receivedst time—and that, in turn, had displeased Eric, which terrified the store manager.

“Miss Pearson, we’re so sorry the clothes we sent previously didn’t meet your expectations. Could you let me know what style you prefer? I’ll be more than happy to suggest some new pieces,” the manager exined.

    What?

Hadley frowned slightly, ncing at Eric in confusion. Just what was going on here?

Eric gestured discreetly to the store manager and the sales assistants, indicating they should give them some space.

“Of course, Mr. Flynn,” replied the manager before he swiftly guided the staff away.

“Look here, Hadley.” Eric encouraged as he gently took her hand, guiding her to the gleaming disy case. “What catches your eye?”

“Oh?” Hadley quirked an eyebrow, her voice tinged with amusement. “Are you in the mood to shop for my wardrobe?”

“Yes,” Eric confirmed with a nod. Wasn’t that apparent?

“I’ll pass,” Hadley responded with a yful smile, yet her words dripped with irony. “Really, I’m all set with my current wardrobe.” She began to withdraw her hand, seeking to escape his grasp.

“Wait, Hadley,” Eric said, holding her gaze firmly. “Didn’t you mention that nothing at Silver Vis appeals to you anymore?”

Before she could respond, he earnestly continued, apologizing for earlier misunderstandings.

Eric acknowledged his oversight with a hint of regret. “I should have consulted you before making ns. Let’s go have a look now, shall we?” He motioned toward the array of clothing behind the ss. “We have a few pieces here, but there’s more to see. What catches your eye? They can bring out additional selections if you’d like. Does that sound good?”
