?Chapter 539:
“Dig in,” Eric said warmly, encouraging Hadley as she took her first bite.
“How does it taste?”
Hadley savored the delicate vors, her eyes lighting up in genuine surprise. “Oh… it’s delicious.”
The taste was subtle, yet unexpectedly satisfying. By the time they finished, she’d eaten everyst bite.
“I’m d it suits your taste,” Eric remarked with a satisfied smile. He slipped an affectionate arm around her waist as they exited the restaurant. “I’ll bring you back here next time if you like—or we can find something new…”
As he chatted enthusiastically, Hadley’s attention snapped to the suddenmotion outside the hotel. Elissa had stormed out, locked in a heated argument with another woman.
Elissa was at it again!
In confrontations between women, the fights typicallycked strategy—just pulling hair and scratching faces, each strike meant to scar.
Caught off guard, Hadley feltpelled to intervene.
“Where do you think you’re heading?” Eric swiftly held her back, his expression concerned. “This is your friend’s personal issue. Do you think she really wants your help?”
Hadley stopped, torn.
Just then, a man emerged hastily from the background.
“Let her handle it!” he shouted.
He caught Elissa by the arm, yanking her back. His face disyed a mix of disgust and anger.

“Elissa, have you no self-respect? Calm down, you’re causing a scene!”
Elissa halted, tears welling up, her hair a mess as she shot a re at the man.
“Robin! How much longer will you let this go on?” She gestured towards the woman next to him. “A new girlfriend already? And she looks twice your age!”
“Who are you calling old?” The woman, clearly offended, seized the moment while Robin Torres held Elissa back to strike Elissa across the face.
“Mind your words, Elissa! I mean it!”
The force of the p whipped Elissa’s head to the side.
Robin hesitated. He was about to say something more, but Elissa wriggled free and charged at the woman.
“You still want more?”
Elissa sped her hands in the woman’s hair.
“Ah… Robin.”
“Elissa!” Robin quickly stepped in, pulling her away. “Enough of this!”
“Hmph!” The woman smirked. “You had thating for hitting me!”
She scrutinized Elissa from head to toe with scorn. “Tsk, what good is youth? It’s useless if you can’t hold onto a man…”
Hadley had had enough and was about to intervene.
“Hold on!” Eric restrained her yet again.
“Let me go!” Hadley protested angrily. “Don’t you see? They’re all against Elissa!”
“Really?” Eric gave a knowing smirk and nodded toward the man. “That’s Robin Torres.”
Hadley was taken aback. “You know him?”
