Chapter 379

    ?Chapter 379:

Seeing his parents silent, Denver chose not to press further.

They needed time to process everything.

He gently lifted the jewelry box from the table.

“Mom, Dad, it’ste.” He rose from his chair. “I’m going to my room now. You both should head to bed early too. Goodnight.”

With a sigh of distress, Wilma watched her son exit the room. She then closed her eyes and massaged her temples.

“Honey, are you alright?” her husband inquired.

Wilma, rubbing her forehead, replied, “I have a headache! What do we do about this situation? I can’t allow them to be together. Absolutely not!”

    Monday arrived.

Before six in the evening, Eric was already stationed outside the dance troupe’s building, waiting for Hadley to finish.

Following her debut performance, Hadley’s reputation in the dancemunity had skyrocketed, something even N had noticed.

N couldn’t hide her excitement. “Hadley’s really been making a name for herself quietly!”

Hadley hadn’t joined the Flynns for dinnertely, prompting N to ask Eric to ensure she would return. They had initially nned for the weekend, but with Hadley’s packed schedule, their meeting had been pushed to Monday night.

Eric had been waiting for about ten minutes when he finally saw Hadley emerge, bag in hand.

    ???????? ???????? ?????????????? at ?????????ν??????﹒?????

He quickly got out of the car to open the door for her. However, just before Hadley could reach the car, another figure approached her.

    It was Wilma.

She halted in front of Hadley and removed her sunsses.

    “Hello, are you… Hadley?”

“Yes,” Hadley responded with a puzzled nod. “May I ask who you are?”

Wilma looked around briefly. “This isn’t the best ce to discuss things. Would you mind joining me somewhere more private for a conversation?”

    Hadley hesitated.

She wasn’t sure who this woman was, but something about the request made her wary.

Seeing Hadley’s hesitation, Wilma’s smile faded, and she replied softly, “I am Denver’s mother.”

At that revtion, Hadley stiffened, fully aware of the significance of this encounter.

She immediately understood why Wilma might want to meet.

    “Mrs. Moran, hello.”

“Let’s skip the formalities,” Wilma said, raising an eyebrow. “Shall we talk now?”

Hadley paused, ncing toward Eric as he approached.

Following her gaze, Wilma noticed Eric and her smile quickly vanished.

Her willingness to engage in a calm discussion evaporated.

“Hadley, are you still in touch with your ex-husband? I can’t understand how you manage to be so shameless.”
